Hoping to move to this area soon, would love to get to know some new people please!
I'm near there. Where are you planning to move to?
Around Highlands area I think
I'm a couple of miles down the road
Excellent! Do you meet up at all?
I haven't but others probably have.
Well if anyone is looking for a new friend, let me know!
There are a few on the local site who meet up - I work in day so normally miss the meet ups
How can I find out about the meet ups? I'm a bit new to all this!
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/local_portsmouth_isle_of_wight/1039860-A-warm-welcome-to-anybody-in-Hampshire-and-Isle-of often links are posted here but site is all being updated so will hopefully be clearer to find.
I live in Highlands area
Hello youarekidding, thanks for the link, I'm on to it. Whereabouts do you live then?
Very near the shops! About 300m away down the road towards Fareham train station. (as much as I can say without giving myself away too much!)
Where abouts are you looking to move to? What schools you looking at? My DS goes to the local juniors (catchment for my road) and I really rate the school.
If you are down viewing at any time we could meet and I could give you the low down if you like?
I know where you mean. How old are your dc? I have dd 11 and ds 7. I won't be too far from the shops either! And I don't live all that far away now, only about 6 miles down the dreaded A32!
I have a DS 7 too
He goes to OL Juniors (year 3).
It will be nice to meet someone with a boy DS' age nearby as all my friends have girls - poor DS
My Ds will be starting at OL! It's a small world! We obviously need to meet up! My dc are quite nervous about changing schools, I feel really mean making them do it. But I've heard good things about OL so I'm happy!
At the juniors? My DS best friend is moving this month and he's devastated.
It would be great to get the boys together as DS will be lonely without his mate and so will be in the same boat a little. Although DS obviously knows the other children by this age they've paired off and he's losing his. Hopefully DS can help your DS settle in - and maybe they'll discover a new friendship.
I wonder maybe if they'll even be in the same class as I suspect your DS will get DS friend's place!
Yes at the juniors! Let's hope it's the same class and as you say, they can help each other!
Oh that's fab!! DS class teacher is an absolute gem and he loves her!
Hi, I'm a mother of two girls. One of 6 yrs and 2 yrs old, living in the Titchfield area and would love to meet up with mums with children of similar age. Play for the kids and coffee for the mums would be great. Look forward to hearing from you. x
hello, I'm a mother of a 2 years old boy, living in Fareham area. I am not a native English speaker (I moved here from another EU country), so if it's not a problem for you, would love to meet up with mums for a little chit chat or coffee or some company.
