Just thought Id say in the hope that there is someone near me <waves frantically while jumping up and down> Im near Richmond, North Yorkshire if anyone is my way. Id love to have a group meet-up.
Sorry Ive not been around. Was having internet problems, going to put a new thread in Chat about a meet up in Northallerton to see what interest might be
Thanks something! Hope you are all ok. We need to win the lottery to stop all thoughts of having to return to poxy work. I also seem to have caught the lurgy while away at work and have applied so much Vicks tonight that while I still can't smell it, it's making my chest hot and my eyes water. Clearly it's going to be my new perfume!
Fingers crossed some people wander back onto this thread. Tea and cake and play should always be a winner!
Yes, it was Barkers I meant - sorry, must have been auto-correct.
Kids play might suit more people (those with mobile children) so sounds a good idea.
OohTrifle I'm glad your first week back went well - the hardest part is over at least!
I dont know, it was where Something mentioned to me in PM the other day.
I was thinking of Northallerton to be a bit more central for anyone else in North Yorkshire, though I think thread this has died off a bit now
. When I did have an idea of when and where I thought that a message in chat would be a good idea. Something along the lines of X place at X time on X day there are a few of us there, anyone in the area is welcome to come. The title will be Northallerton meet-up.
Just need ideas of where to go really. I dont know it at all.
Northallerton good for me. Is it Barkers cafe you are thinking of Lilleth?
There is also a soft play place for those with mobile tots. It is called Kidzplay on standard way industrial estate. Think that is just before you get into town if you are coming from Darlington.
Hope everyone is ok. I survived my first week back at work relatively unscathed. The joy of having an entire cup of tea that isn't cold! Secretly though, I would have rather been eating biscuits with the boy
So are we looking to arrange a bigger meet up at some point then?
Im thinking Northallerton as its a bit more middle North Yorkshire. How's that for people?
I dont know Northallerton at all, but Ive been told there's a Barton Cafe or The Golden Lion?
Any thoughts?
Oh no Catbag Will definately arrange another one soon.
Ah that's a shame Catbag. I say shove everything under the stairs/washing machine to provide impression of serene and tidy house.
Absolutely gutted, but I am not going to be able to make this one; I have the local Homestart coordinator bringing my newly-assigned volunteer to meet me this morning at 10:00am. I have baby twins and am trying desperately to restore my house to its pre-twin level of tidyness. Probably not realistic in the 3 hours a week that the volunteer will be here, but it's worth a go! Have a lovely meet, and I definitely catch you all for the next one!
Great, I'll see you by the door in the morning then!
It's not really. How about just outside the door? You can park for free if you have a blue disc I can pick a couple up if anyone needs one? Though you might be able to get them from the station
Where exactly will we be meeting? I've had a look on the station website but get the impression it's quite a big place. Thanks!
I'll come along and show my face. I've also got red hair, and will be bringing along my 5 1/2 month old DS.
Good to know as I was concerned whether you'd get past the array of dogs usually tethered up outside!
PS Im not actually a cat
BTW I should say Ive got red hair and will have a 17MO old with me. If I look tired it's because said 17MO is teething and is not happy ATM
Ooh so that's 2 of us. Anyone else? LadyinCatterick Threedogs Catbag Somethingaboutnothing or anyone else if you want to come?
Can do weds 27th at 10.30. I'll be the one with face pressed up against the glass cake counter. Oh and wearing a mustard and pink stag print scarf. Carnations are so passé.
Can we make it Wed 27th? Say 10:30? I need to pop to Darlington on 26th now.
Hi
Are you thinking of next week? Let me know the time and I will try to come along
Thanks
26th or 27th works for me. My two wee boys will be in nursery then (12mth old for the first time eek!) as I go back to work the following week so I'll have free hands to carry the tray of cake.
Ooh Ive just come back from Darlo. Im very partial to cake too
probably a bit too much
<puts wine down for later thanks>
When is best for those that want to meet at the station in Richmond? Im thinking Wed 27th or would people prefer the Tues or Thurs?
Also any thoughts of a bigger meet up at some point? I originally said April, but happy to make it earlier if people want.
<enters carrying wine> I live in Darlo but used to live in Wycliffe when we first moved up from the south and am very partial to a walk and a Station cake. Well, mainly cake.
Dont be daft something you are more than welcome to come along. Anybody can come if they want to get to Richmond.
Oops, I've just realised you were talking about the two of you meeting up after half term, sorry! April time is fine for me for a group meet up.
Ahhhh, twins, how lovely! I'll be bringing along my 22 week old DS.
