Would anyone be up for a daytime meetup in a park somewhere in Manchester this Easter holiday? I'm thinking somewhere with an enclosed playground/lots of space for picnics. Any takers? And any ideas about location?
I've got two boys, 4.7 and 17 months. They're lovely and will play with anyone, though the older one might insist his name is Batman
Meeeeeeee! When do the Easter holidays start?
<checks diary>
Mon 2nd April. 6th & 9th are the Easter bank holidays. The second week would be better for me I think.
I would love to come too. Dd is 8 and ds2 is 3. I won't bring ds1 as he's 15 and I don't think it would really be his thing.
Also, where shall we meet?
I'll throw Heaton Park out there because it's close easy to get to and big and amazing.
Heaton Park is good. I'll try to get inmyspare time to come too.
I tried to reply to this thread earlier, but MN broke and it got eaten
Heaton Park sounds good, we can train/tram it.
Me! I would like to come
! I don't really know where Heaton Park is but theonewiththehair can come with me
.
I can do the second week except the Monday.
Yes, I'd like to come, if that's ok?
I missed the pub one out of sheer absented-mindedness
, so will try to keep this on my active convos
Heaton Park is unbelievably convenient for me, but have car, will travel (and can squeeze another adult and child in for lifts).
I'm at work on Mon& Tues, and away for the bank hols, otherwise I'm about, and have a 10yo and 8yo.
OK, I propose either Weds 11th or Friday 13th - any preferences?
i don't work on Weds so that's good for us.
also, judging by the Christmas holiday, i may have killed one or both of the children if we leave it too late
I would prefer Wednesday but can do either.
Haha Charlotte I know that feeling!
Either is fine with me, someone pick one please (and a time) and I'll be there with my two (10&8)
Right, well after lengthy consultation with my mother (who is visiting Tues-Weds) it looks like Friday is the only day I can do, now.
How does that suit everyone? I don't know Heaton Park at all really so someone will have to tell me a landmark to meet at
say 12ish? Or a bit later?
Friday noon is fine by me.
That's good for me too. Can't give a land mark because I dont know that park either.
Heaton Park tramstop would be fine for meeting, it's across the road from the park entrance and if most people are getting the tram, it'll be easy.
Good idea.
Just giving this a quick bump now Easter hols have started.
8 days to go, bumping before I go away for the weekend
Evening all
Given the unpredictable weather we've been blessed with recently, it's been suggested that the Museum Of Science & Industry might be a more suitable place to meet on Friday - what does everyone think?
If it does turn out to be gorgeous sunshine, we can always revert back at the last minute...
(Also, if anyone wants to add me on FB just chuck me a PM and I'll link you)
