Hi!
I have put myself forward to be the Tsarina for this area. I am a working mum (part-time), aged 33 with 2 children (2 DDs, one aged 4 yrs and the other is 5 mths). I live on the Northolt/South Harrow border.
Please feel free to add any recommendations for places and services in the area, e.g. activities, pubs, cafes etc. or anything you feel would be useful to other mums in the local area.
If you have any queries, please post it on the board and I'll see if I can help.
Thanks!
Hi
I went to a new toddler group today with DS 2. It is in Roxeth Free Church in Coles Crescent South Harrow. I found it really welcoming and friendly. It seems to be church run, but was pleasently surprised at how it was run. I think it is £1.00 per family. Starts at 10.00- 11.30 on Mondays.
I also called a listing i saw netmums, a toddler group in the St thomas catholic church in Harrow. I was pretty much told that if i was not a practising catholic of that church I would not be able to attend. Needless to say i felt quite offended by the attitude.
I also have recently attended the toddler group at Harrow Leisure centre on a Tuesday morning. I am not very impressed by it either. Not a great deal of activities available just a few toys spread out and the girls who run it did not seem very enthusiastic.
Thanks Sherbert. This is really useful feedback. Please add the details of the Toddler Group in South Harrow to the local listings, so that others can find the details easily. Give me a shout if you need a hand!
Hi!
I moved here in December with my two year old and 8 month old. Can anyone help me find some activities for my two year old?

I would be happy to help or give info if required or any other suggestions which the older generation could be helpfull to the group. For instance how much info has your mother about the Womens centre? there are so may ways of being involved.
The Older Womens Group meets every Friday 10am-12 noon an open friendly social group make friends and socialise occasional outings and whatever we want! info and address The Harrow Women's Centre 020 8422 1100 just drop in any friday Alice
I have often wondered about the Women's Centre, but cannot find anything online for ovb. reasons.
Do they do any courses there? Anything holistic?
Hi I'm in harrow area too, my DD is 7. We're North Harrow too!
Hi , I will be moving to North Harrow from Sydney Australia in July of this year. I have 3 daughters aged 7, 5 and a baby who will turn 1 in July. I would love some info on the local schools , I have read all of the OFSTED reports and league tables but would love some parents views. I would also love to know where there are some good playgroups that I can bring my baby to and perhaps some school holiday programmes that I can bring my older girls to over the summer.
Would love to know if anyone out there is interested in trying to establish a Women's Institute in Wealdstone and environs. I think it is a useful way for working mums and at home mums to connect and network. Do let me have thoughts.
X
Lola
