I am not in your area and my baby is now 7!!! BUT I found NCT (National Childbirth Trust) very helpful in my area a few years ago for making friends.

No idea what it is like in your area but worth a look if nothing else.

Hello, I'm on maternity leave I until Jan and my son is 12 weeks old. When hubby is at work I find it hard to find things to do other than walks and shops as we don't have many baby friends! I'd love to hear from any other mums of a similar age who have a little one who might want some more baby friends smile
