I say 'Havrill' which is what my grandad used to say, I'm sure, but no-one else seems to say this any more.

Hay -ver - hill (though others may just say something like ayvril).
There may well be launderettes in Haverhill but I don't visit the place ... the town centre seems rather depressing.

Thanks! Sorry to miss your post before replying last night. Great.

Also, how do you pronounce Haverhill? I am saying "Have a hill" but my mum says that this is wrong.

Thanks!

I think there are two in Saffron Walden - one in Emsons Close which is just between the Common and the market. The other is in Rowntree Way on south side of SW. Both had big machines though I haven't used either for years.

Hi,

My daughter has weed through a nice, heavy, double duvet.

Any suggestions for somewhere cheap to take it to be washed? The Haverhill side of Cambridge if possible

Thanks!
