Hi,

I am thinking of moving to Amersham very soon and wanted to get some advice of the best places to live for access to good secondary schools.

Can you help?

Thanks

Hi. It's the 11+ system here, so you take the exam at the beginning of year 6 and then, depending on your result you get allocated your school in the following February. Generally speaking, if you pass you'll either go to Challoner's Boys or Girls or Chesham Grammer, which is co-ed. If you don't pass, then it's the Amersham school or going private or Joan of Ark in Rickmansworth if you're practising Catholic. So it's not so much where you live, it's how you do in the 11+
HTH.
