WLTM single professional mums . .

(124 Posts)
I am a single parent of a 4 month and 13 year old on maternity leave until next May and would like to meet other single mums in local area (BS6 and environs) particularly those happy to talk of things other than sleep/feeding . . .

Anyone out there?!
See you all later. Should be there by quarter past
will be late as have to take dd to the hosptal for a chest x-ray. She has a cold but her O2 levels keep droppping so it might be a chest infection. And she twisted her ankle.
We'l come along afterwards. Prolly bout 11
DP says he will haul me up the hill and deposit me at the museum so with any luck I will be there. Just don't confuse me for Alfred the Gorilla.
I read absolutely NOTHING in the late stages of pregnancy. I could manage about half a page at a time... I didn't manage to read a decent book for nearly three months - I hated it!!

I'm coming - just saw your question to DC Riven - am v impressed and sounds like you'll get a personal letter - you must tell all! i shall get Mrs Tim and yes lets talk book clubs - I really liked the inheritance of loss but it maybe isn't the right book st this stage. I'm about to go to bed with sorrows of an american - I loved 'What I Loved' so am hopeful. I read The Bolter in the later stages of pregnancy which I reslly liked, and would recommend Memoir as a genre for the about-to-pop phase . . hope to see you tomorrow!
Sorry, been offline for a couple of days, stuff here... Yes, I'm coming.
everyone still coming?
Saw a lady dr who was pregnant herself so think that helped.
Glad they are leaving you alone to get on with it Ninja, I was the same and they insisted on inducing me

hopefully see you on Friday
Due on Sunday Riven but measured 46wks on Friday. Just saw consultant today but they are not too fussed. Managed a bit of a walk as well so feel a bit more up beat.

Would love some book suggestions. Just can't find anything I can get into. Was bought PS I love you but hate it and keep trying to get into The Inheritance of Loss but just lose interest.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
