I keep reading that Fiveways is a fantastic place for young families. We have seen a house in Surrenden Park- very close to Balfour, Varndean etc Is this a nice place to be? We are moving to the UK from overseas and we really need to find somewhere to settle quickly. Is there lots of things for children all of all ages to do? Please share your experiences/ advice/ opinions Thanks!x
All I remember about Brighton is what a great time I had at uni, none of those memories were at Fiveways. Which in a lot of ways is a great thing if you want to bring a family up there
I really wanted to move back there before I had my DS but alas it didn't happen. It really is a lovely place to live with lots to do for all ages and Fiveways is a lovely area. HTH

I lived in Fiveways for five years, just around the corner from Blakers Park. It was just before we had children, so I can't speak for nurseries, playgroups etc, but it is a VERY family friendly area, nicknamed Nappy Valley by some because everyone seems to have kids. Lovely parks, great local shops, butcher, baker, organic fruit and veg, everyone very friendly. Some nice family friendly pubs too. Lots of families want to move there.
