Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

The only school i would avoid is I.I.L they are crap with special needs and children with any special needs are unable to go up the high school angry

We moved for this reason as Ds was losing his confidance and becomine withdrawn etc etc

My dds go to the International School of Geneva - I am extremely pleased with it. Although dd2 doesn't have special needs she was way behind her peers (long story) and the help she has got and is getting is fantastic.

I know of a couple of children that are on the autistic spectrum at the school.

If you have any specific questions you can e-mail me at strudelface@gmail.com

Thanks, guys.

We're just back from 10 days in Geneva.

Looked at the Fedea School, but didn't feel it was right for my son.

Wondering if anyone has any views/experiences of The International School of Geneva?

Traffic is so fast moving on the Expat Moms site and quite the opposite on the Special Kids one.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Have a look on SwissMoms Yahoo group, if you join that then you can get lots of info. I seem to remember that there is a group for children with SN in Switzerland too. Will look for you.

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
