.... how big the spiders are getting in England these days ...

To misquote the great Crocodile Dundee:

"That's not a spider. This is a spider!"

Photos on my profile if you dare.

Ewww don't talk to me about cockroaches, I hate them but they insist on living with us! They are disgusting and I can't get rid! I can't wait to get back to the UK and leave the creepy crawlies behind! On the other hand I'm not looking forward to the huge energy and shopping bills people keep scaring me with! Not sure what's worse - bills or cockroaches and spiders!

No, I am not a spider fan. I hate them. I cried buckets after taking those photos and was actually sick . I have a real phobia and the fact I even took the photos is incredible.
As spiders go I suppose he is beautiful but this is the 4th one we have had in the house and he was massive. I made my DH put his hand there to demonstrate the size as my DH has huge hands. Also that is a fair sized Royal Gala there too
I am traumatised I have to say

youd like byron bay... go to byron bay. the sand there is deliciously soft and silky.... its my Happy Place, the beach at BB [

Foghorn, I did tell DH today that I can't live here forever. I really don't know how I can although I adore Melbourne ....
I am sure the likes of suzy will come on later and tell me I need to toughen up and remind me of the 'kitten paw' incident.
But I am not brave like her. That suzy, she's hard as nails ...
