We are moving to Geneva on Tuesday, and we jsut had a party with out neighbours.

It has finally hit me that I am leaving such good friend behind, not just my friends but also my DCs friends. They gave us a lovely book of photos of all our children over the last 3 years.

I am excited to be going to oru new house, but I am so sad. How do I cope with this? How do I keep the DCs happy when I am so sad?

feel free to ignore me, I have had too much wine

It's blardy hard. It will keep getting progressively worse until you have settled in your new home for about three months...before then, you will constantly be criticising your decision to move.

We've been in Oz now for 2.5 years and it's still hard. I have some days where I feel that we've really having an adventure, and then the next week I will be very weepy and needing a hug from my mum.

At least with Geneva, you can always pop home for the weekend to get a fix of family of friends....you lucky thing!

It is not as if it is the first move, I have moved from Scotladn to Würzburg then to Hannover then to Düsseldorf and now to Hannover. This is the first time with the DCs old enough to really understand what is goign on. They had so mcuh fun tonight with their friends, it breaks my heart to take therm away form here.

We can pop home, but we now have 3 "homes", Dundee, Würzburg, Düsseldorf. No way to go to all of them.

I know that we will settle in ok, I am just feelign a bit sorry for myself tonight
