Happy Independance day to all ex-pat americans out there. We are having a BBQ to celebrate the erm freedom from the tyranny of English oppression well having a barbeque in any event rain or well more rain.

on another note what food things can't you live without in you new country of residence?

Jell-o instant pudding, cinnamon teddy grahms, A1 steak sauce, ranch dressing ( have a knock off recipe somewhere though), Hot tamales candy, Verners Ginger Ale, and Chalula hot sauce
ohh and toll house chocolate chips! (hidden a packet in the back of cubboard for emergency chocolate chip cookies!

Am English but lived in the States for a while. I miss a few food items too, but I must admit, not many. Anyway, not here to slag off your cuisine, just to check you have seen this for emergencies!

We were in Florida for our honeymoon, and it was independence day...watched the most amazing firework display on the beach !
