How are you doing? Any news? Sorry if you are sick of being asked!

ah no it's OK!
9 days over and rapidly losing the will to live. If it doesn't happen by the end of today will not have the midwife I've had all the way through, which I am quite pissed off about after being so excited about knowing who I'd get (as opposed to the UK, where it could have been - and was - anyone). I do know the back up one but I've only met her twice so it's not quite the same.

inudction booked for Friday, REALLY want to avoid it.

how are you?

Wow! 9 days. I was a week over when I finally started, and I was climbing the walls by then! I have my fingers crossed for you that it's soon!!

I am ok. Seeing the specialist again next week, and FINALLY going to pain clinic the week after. big sigh. I will never take being pain-free forgranted again (if I ever get there again)!!

After all, you're the other side of the world!

I've just clicked your profile, btw, MrsJC - love your DD's name and she's a poppet! I can now imagine your face looking cross that you're still pg too

I've been sitting on my hands, trying to think of a non-annoying way of saying "haven't you had it yet?"

Don't think there is one, so will just send more vibes

::::vibes:::::

(non-bold ones as I'm several thousand miles closer, wouldn't want to cause one of those hugely intense 2 minute labours)

Oh Bloody Hell MrsJC ... [gggrrrrrr]

The thought of you being this pregnant in this heat makes me feel ill .... poor you!
(DD's b'day is 3rd Feb and January 2004 had to be the worst month of my life!)

Oh bugger, welliemum ... do you think the distance from Auckland to Ch'ch is ok for the bold ::::vibes::::
Wouldn't want her to drop the baby down the loo when she goes for a wee

Report
welliemum · 05/03/2007 01:25

Nah, Auckland is fine.

You know, the power of vibes varies inversely with the cube of the linear distance, taking into account fluctuations in the geomagnetic sphere of course.

You have my sympathy today - it is simply roasting. I don't think any body is going to go into labour on a day like this. When the wind turns to the south it will happen.

I am STILL HERE
day 10 in the house of no baby
I am way too hot, but I have been trying to walk around today. My sister arrived today which is lovely, even though I kind of expected to have a baby to show her....

DD was up half the night which has not helped matters at all.

induction booked for Thursday now. It's looking likely, dammit

Where are you twentypence - are you in ChCh?

actually I think twentypence is nearlythreebob - am I right?

indeed Califrau. Had an email from my friend in the UK who was due 4 days before me and she had hers on the 1st and I cried

I just can't see it happening now.

You are all very nice though

aw, balls! mrs jc's baby stop playing silly beggars and come out so that we can get a good look at your wee face. do you know if it's a boy or a girl yet? (i mean, presumably it's one or the other and you're not gestating a rhinocerous).

Report
schneebly · 05/03/2007 10:06

Aw MrsJC - you have my sympathy! I was booked for an induction with DS2 after trying all the usual tricks and thought he was never going to come out. In the end I had one prostaglandin pessary and things started up and went very smoothly. I hope if you do have to have that induction that it is a quick and simple as mine was. ((hugs)) and :::VIBES:::

Report
MrsJohnCusack · 05/03/2007 10:06

a bloody rhino is looking more and more likely...

found it pretty much by mistake that this is a boy

DH was saying 'I wonder what he'll look like' earlier this evening and I just told him I've lost interest now
