Calling all Mumsnet Mums in South Island New Zealand

We are planning a trip to NZ June 2008 and will take advantage of the full 6 months visiting period. We are looking at visiting the South Island from Christchurch and as far north as Nelson.

Just wondering whether any of you on the ground have any good tips for getting a private furnished house/flat rental. All we are looking for is a minimum 2 bed flat or house. We do need a broadband connection straight away - so we need to arrange accomodation well before we leave.
