Can anyone recommend a good moving firm? Also looking for someone to give me some of their experiences of moving furniture abroad, how much did it cost you? Where did you go? Thank you!

Company moved us with Interdean to China - no idea how much it cost. My recommendation - label everything with post it notes if not everything is going. We had storage, sea freight, air freight and stuff we were taking on the plane. Also make sure you have more that one person to supervise the packers to make sure that your instructions are followed otherwise you may end up like me with a 24 year old wedding dress being shipped to China and favourite paintings stuck in storage!

Santa Fe and Asian Tigers are popular in HK. We came to HK with Santa Fe and they were pretty good. However, there are definitely cheaper options. These two are primarily used by people who arent paying themselves

Can't fault Pickford's International, who took us from UK to Middle East. Didn't take furniture.
Make sure you are only left with stuff staying, and stuff that will go into suitcases after they have gone. I actually roughly packed all bar one suitcase, and then shut that stuff in one room, and had everything else in UK storage before they arrived. Only think we can't find atm is starting nav. Would be useful next week when we get to UK. Hoping it's in UK storage, or else it's lost
