Spending a week in a french secondary school in term time for a Y8 girl

I need to go to Paris on business for a week in early July and would like to take my daughter Y8 with me. I'd like her to spend the week in a French school there. This is completely individually organised and not part of a school language exchange. She will live with me during this time. Has anyone got an experience with this and how did you organise it? I will be based in University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP), which is near the Louvre. Are there any good schools in this area that you could recommend I approach? Many thanks in advance for the advice.

Schools break up for the hols on the 4th July so I wouldn't have thought there was much point.

I helped organise an exchange last year for a friend's daughter in London with a girl in our village here in France. The English girl went to our local college with her exchangee(?) but this was entirely due to the French mother organising this with the principal at the school. I wouldn't have thought they would be this accommodating with a random child wanting to go to French school for a week.

And as frenchfancy says schools break up on July 4th, but in reality the 5eme at our college (Y8) break up late June as there are no classes due to the brevet for the 3eme.

One thing you might be able to manage is a holiday play scheme as they normally cater for children in the early years of secondary school. The website for the Mairie where you are going to be living will be a good place to start.

What are your dates? As others have said, school ends on 1 July (or earlier) but there are lots of educational summer courses in Paris in July. What are your DD's interests?

You won't be able to use the publicly subsidised courses run by the Mairie (you would need proof of residence) but there are lots of private courses in art, sport etc.
