We've moved to Australia (from the UK/France) but have family going back to France and I'm planning to put in an order for books for DD (currently aged 7) and would love any recommendations.
She goes to a bilingual school (French/English) and has a good reading level for her age in both English and French (a bit more confident in English hence why we'd like to get her more french language books).

At the moment she's reading anything in the Rainbow Fairies series by Daisy Meadows and Tashi books by Anna Fienberg.

We've looked at ordering from amazon.fr or fnac but shipping to Australia almost doubles the prices! All recommendations much appreciated.

I really rate the totally unPC Martine series for little girl beginner readers in French. Fantastic for building vocabulary.

Journal d'un dégonflé (Diary of a Wimpy Kid)
There is a series of Milan Poche books that are good for this age, www.editionsmilan.com/Livres-Jeunesse/FICTION/Premieres-lectures/MILAN-POCHE-BENJAMIN

At that age DCs enjoyed J'aime Lire and various BD such as Yakari.
