I attach a link to her website. It shows a short video which will tell you all about it much more clearly than I can:

www.save5.org.uk/video-appeal.html

She has been ill for many years and has put all her efforts into trying to help other people in need of organ donation. I know some people don't want to register to donate, but if you think you could, please, please take the two minutes now and do it.

Sorry to pester again but can I re-post T's appeal from FB?

Well It's Wednesday And Did You Know...?
.
I need your help like never before.
.
I need a PR company with good TV and radio connections who will help me promote Save5 so that the 10,000 extra organ donor registration goal becomes a reality. http://www.save5.org.uk/video-appeal.html
.
What's in it for the PR company? A true feel good factor knowing that they could help to save some lives and recognition from me at every possible opportunity for their help.
.
Please can you all share this post with everyone. I have never asked that before but this is so incredibly important. Thank you.
.
Take great care.

Thursday bump!

MrsBodger Any idea of the total now?

I don't like to keep asking T is busy with other things & taking care of herself I would imagine!

She said on FB the other day it was nearly at 7000, would be great to push it up some more. grin

MissMarplesBloomers Tue 25-Jun-13 10:45:36

Can also aask all the lovely people who have registered and mentioned it on here to drop an email to T on her website so she can add you to her total?

Many thanks!

Already a donor here too! I had a complete blood transfusion 10years ago very ill almost bled to death and had to be resuscitated it gave me the biggest wake up call that someone saved my life now its my turn to help others and am an organ donor. I do hope your friend gets that same chance and wish her all the best, god bless.

Already registered.

We're all ready registered.
I agree it should be opt out. I also think that if a person has registered then their family shouldn't be able to opt out as it was obviously their wish to be donated.

This is something I've been thinking about for some time. Your friend has given me the final push I needed - I've just spoken to DH and I'm off to register us both.

Moomoomie Mon 24-Jun-13 17:03:59

Just re- registered as it was many years ago when I first carried a donor card. Have spoken to DH and the children about it too.
I also wish it was opt out.
Prayers and good wishes.

Bedtime bump.

I've just registered

The thought if organ donation has always filled me with horror but actually if I sit and think about if it were me or mine that needed an organ to save our lives, I would grab one with both hands

What a hypocrite eh ?

So I've registered and will be honoured if I could ever help someone in that way

Bump

MissMarplesBloomers Sat 15-Jun-13 15:59:45

Bumpimg this as she has being nominated for the Pride of Britain awards so please add you name. Use the website address where it asks for details.

her FB page

The category you need is the special recognition category, this would not only be brilliant for a special lady but raise much needed awareness for donor registrations.

Thanks.

Again, thank you all so so much! I'm about to email Tee - it's her birthday today - so what a fantastic present.

You are all lovely.

TallyGrenshall Wed 05-Jun-13 23:00:23

We are all registered donors in my house.

My friends husband had a liver transplant last week and is doing really well. The surgeon said he wouldn't have lasted 3 months

Done. I registered when I was 18, but didn't think to register in my married name before I read your post.
So sorry about your friend.
