Hi All,
Im new to this site, and after reading a few posts thought I would share my situation and ask whether anyone else out there is in the same situation or location.
Myself and my fiancee of 2 years, who live in West Sussex, have decided to move forward with our family planning. We have contacted the Agora fertility cllinic in Hove and made our first appointments for January!!
Im so excited, and was nervous about being a gay parent until I read some posts and comments - I feel a lot better now!
Hope to hear from some like minded people, or people from the same area.
Thanks x

Hi Holly / Skimpy

My Partner and I had given home AI a try but found it rather unsuccessful due to my periods being so irregular.... I'm sure given abit more time we would have got there but the process was getting abit tiresome and I saw an advert offering Free IVF in London if you are prepared to share your eggs with another couple who need donor eggs.... Seemed like a nice thing to do and makes IVF affordable ( of course it's not quite free roughly about £2000 as need to buy sperm and pay a license fee).

So we are taking the first steps to giving IVF a go.... First appointment this Friday!

Would be good to chat / share experiences...
Tanya

My fiance and I will start the process I. September after our civil union in August. We attended the fertility show last year and got a good idea of clinics. We are both so much looking forward to the process. I'll be looking to take folic acid and pre natal vitamins quite soon. Would be great to chat to others in similar situation.

Hi all,
Sorry it's been a manic time so haven't been on here for a while. We have now chosen our clinic, had all fertility tests done, researched, chosen and ordered our donor.... It's currently being shipped to the clinic via DHL (very weird!).

So we are off on holiday on Saturday for a week and then my OH will be having the first IUI a week after we get back!

It's been a real learning curve and at times felt like we were learning a new language! However we have our heads wrapped around the whole process now and we are all set to go..... It's almost a bit of a waiting game now!

I'm happy to answer any questions if you have them.... And good luck to you all :)

Just wanted to wish you lots of luck on your journeys and that it may (or may not) take time but it is all worth it in the end.

We used the London Women's Clinic and I fell pregnant on our 4th cycle with twins. The boys arrived yesterday afternoon and I can honestly say it is the best feeling in the world :-)

Best of luck
