Hi
I have quite a specific question to ask - i am currently working for a full-time year salary of 15,641 however as my daughter has aspergers ( we dont get DLA though) i am considering taking a term time job only with july and August off. This will affect my salary and bring it down to about £13034.00 - will my tax credits make up the shortfall?
I wouldnt be considering it but my daughter is turning 11 and I think it will be difficult to get good quality chilcare for her through the summer - one of the last childminders just seemed to not understand her condition at all, and seemed to think she was just not very bright and her children then copied her attitude. Its hardly the break from school every child wants in the summer. though i am not sure if the financial side will work out.Help Please

Have a look on entitledto.com, there is an online calculator that should help

I didnt expect to get replies so quickly - I havent heard of this website before and i will give it a go. Thanks.

They don't make up the shortfall so to speak but if you earn below a certain amount then I think you get working tax credits too?

However, if you are not paying childcare for 2 months most of your tax credits may be childcare part so not sure how that would work out. Calculator is good!!
