I paid for something using a cheque and it has been returned to the person who tried to cash it as unpaid.
It was in an old cheque book, I'm not overdrawn.
obviously, I have only just found this out a few minutes ago and can't ring the bank to ask what's going on!!!
SOoooooo, before panic causes me to implode - do old cheque books age off? would that be a reason for the bank not to honour the cheque? or could it be something else?
