I have applied for decree Nisi in manchester county courton 26th august and till date 7 week is ending I haven't received nothing from the courts, not even entitlement to decree. I did ring them after six weeks they didn't tell me about my case. What do i need to do ? How long they are taking ? Thankyou

Manchester don't deal with undefended divorces any more. The North West regional centre is based in Liverpool, so sending it to Manchester will simply have slowed down the whole process. Manchester will deal with any hearings, children, and contested financial hearings ancillary to divorce, but the admin for all undefended divorces is being handled in Liverpool.

See this www.familylawweek.co.uk/site.aspx?i=ed144407

I suggest you ring Liverpool to find out.

you should normally hear within around 4-6 weeks, but it might have got delayed because you sent it to the wrong court.
