Stuck in court admin loop

Judge asked CAFCASS to consider a particular course of action, and file by a certain date.

CAFCASS never received any order from the court but accepted from me that this had been asked for. CAFCASS say they filed on time.
The court say that they haven't received anything from CAFCASS. As a result, new order has been made, asking CAFCASS to file again.
The CAFCASS manager has confirmed that this has been filed.
The court still has received nothing. We are now a month on from the filing date.

What on earth do I do? The court won't list for directions until they have this letter from CAFCASS but CAFCASS are saying they haven't received either order from the court and the court are saying they haven't received either letter from CAFCASS.

Seems like an utterly ridiculous situation and I'm just stuck in a loop talking to a call centre whose only response is "we have to wait".

Can you ask both parties for copies and deliver them?

Could you ask cafcass if you can arrange a courier to take the document from them to the court? or tell CAFCASS you will pay trheir DHL charge to send it tomorrow?

It's not normal delays. The court staff have said the file is marked as urgent.

It's not the initial stuff. It's to do with the appointment of a GAL. I've asked why I can't be sent a copy (surely I need it to put it in the bundle?) but apparently they "don't do that". The order doesn't say to file with the parties, just to file with the court. I've tried talking to the CAFCASS officer assigned to the case and to the manager. Today's update from them was "we'll just have to wait for the court". I explained the court are waiting for them but he didn't seem to think this mattered.

I'll try asking if I can arrange a courier. This seems absolutely absurd though. I'm just sat in limbo while both the court and CAFCASS say "not my problem". So much for "any delay in determining the question is likely to prejudice the welfare of the child."!

Any other ideas. Still no progress.

Can anyone help with this? Another month on and still unresolved. I managed to obtain a copy of the letter from CAFCASS and filed that myself and the court are saying that has been filed instead of putting it in front of the judge and they don't know why. I've spent the last two days on a repeating loop of waiting for call backs, calling to say I haven't received call back and being told it's being sent again for a call back.

It's now been three months since I asked for a directions hearing, two months since the CAFCASS letter was supposed to be filed and six weeks since the date on the letter that CAFCASS sent to the court. There's nothing even with the judge for them to list for a hearing yet.

I am sorry I have no legal expertise to help you out here. Is it worth asking each organisation about their complaints process? I also wonder if approaching your MP would help? Sorry if neither suggestion is helpful - just trying to think outside the box for you.
