First hearing for residence order

Hello all, please can anyone advise me? My ex husband has issued an application for a residence order for our son to go and live with him. We have a first hearing scheduled for 35 minutes (letter says it's a Directions Appointment) next week. Am I expected to prepare a Position Statement and take it to Court, or send it to them in advance? All I have done so far is acknowledge the C100 form and ticked the box to say I oppose it. Nothing else has been asked for. Should I expect any more paperwork from ex h in advance? I am self representing by the way. Thanks for any advice.
