DIY Divorce with a foreign marriage certificate

I am asking on behalf of partner - he got married in Pakistan, and as such only has a 'nikaah certificate' which is in Urdu.

He's trying to keep divorce costs as low as possible, so is trying to get the divorce done himself with as little solicitor involvement as possible.

He knows he needs to get the nikaah certificate translated in order to submit the divorce petition to court but no idea where to start or go to get this translated. Will a family law solicitors who specialise in international marriages be able to translate this, or does he go elsewhere?

TIA for any answers, would be much appreciated

A family law solicitor won't be able to do the translation but should be able to refer him to a company who will be able to to the translation for him. The alternative is that he simply finds a translation service on google - the translation has to be accompanied by a statement of truth so it's better to find a company who are used to doing marriage certificates for divorce proceedings as the wording of the statement of truth is very precise.
