Has anyone used ACAS

If so what was your experience please?

This is in situation of the employer refusing to pay notice period.

they are good! get them to help you on this.
you can also make application yourself online to employment tribunal and acas will be assigned to negotiate for you. note the other side can NOT claim legal costs from you so this is risk free and they usually pay up if its clear cut (unless they are bankrupt but then there is statutory compensation available IF you get a court order).
CAB also good in these situations.

Depends what you're using them for.

If you've put in a tribunal claim, or are putting one in, they are fairly good in terms of helping with the process.

If you are not putting in a claim and are considering ringing their advice line for some employment law information, the advice is patchy and sometime completely inaccurate so I would caution against that.

You are more likely to find people with experience of ACAS in the Employment topic, and could also outline your problem and get some advice about it if that would be helpful.

Thank you.. It is for my dh who is away until Monday perhaps we will post again then in employment.
