Don't they sell packs in wh smith for a tenner still, that should do if you're just leaving everything to kids?

High Street Solicitors normally charge (or I did, until I retired in July) around £300 plus VAT for a pair of mirrors, so £360 altogether.

My charges are on the website on my paid for advert ("5* Will Writing Service Recommended by Mumsnetters").

We were advised the packs you can buy can be quite flawed. We paid £150 for ours - in it everything is left to our first child 'and all subsequent offspring' so we do not need to alter it when we have more children. We did it properly as have appointed legal guardians and we wanted it all very clear to ensure no family dispute if the worst happens.

Wait until next november and use Will Aid.

Quote from the will aid website

^Will Aid is a simple way to make your Will and support nine great charities.
A local solicitor writes your Will, then instead of paying their fee you are invited to make a donation to Will Aid. The suggested donation is £90 for a basic single Will or £135 for a pair of basic mirror Wills^

We have used Will Aid to write our original wills and, again, when we amended them. You have to book in advance as it is quite popular. There were several solicitors in our smallish town that were doing it so we could choose where to go.
