You should be able to. If he doesn't respect your wishes (he'd have to apply to court for child contact - just because you have a child to him doesn't mean that you have to put up with emotional abuse) then you could apply for a non-molestation order. A warning letter is sometimes sent first.

It's not unreasonable though for him to want contact with the child, and apply to court if contact cannot be agreed. I pass no comment on whether or not he would be ordered contact as I know insufficient about your case.
