Casual maintenance, but mortgage company need Court stamped agreement, what is involved?

My H is currently paying me £100 per week for DD, which I know is a lot more than the CSA would make him pay (and he is self employed which means it could vary from year to year). I am happy with that, it is an informal agreement between us and has been put on form E etc.

My financial advisor says that in order to get a remortgage, most companies want a court stamped agreement on maintenance.

If I need to do this, I presume that my solicitor takes care of it all, but whats involved? Will it cost any money other than sols fees to do this? What if my STBXH wont sign it?

I have since spoken to my solicitor who says that nobody does court agreed maintenance as its fine through the CSA so he can't help me with that..... So what do I do if the mortgage company wants it?

Six months of bank statements showing maintenance payments would suffice.

Change solicitors?? If it helps settle the finances a child maintenance agreement can be included in a consent order as part of the overall settlement. 12 months after the date of the order though with party can apply to the CSA.

That should be "either" party - damned predictive text

thanks. have since been advised that six months bank statements should be enough to prove the income. (as posted by RedHelen I just spotted). My friend is with Nationwide and thats what they asked for
