Hello y'all. I'm a long time poster, I just don't come on here too much anymnore but I do know that if I post for advice, good advice comes pouring in!

I've got a question on patents. I want to sell a device which I can easily make myself in my garage. It's basically just a plastic zimmer frame thing for helping kids to ice skate. I have a template because I bought one of these in the USA. What do I risk legally by knocking these together and selling them?

  1. They are safe, just a screwed together frame but do i need any offical safety testing?
  2. I've looked at google patents and there seems to be about 15 of basically the same thing on there. All of them US based.

What do you think? What steps do you think I need to take before selling them myself?
