Who fancies checking in with names and more importantly NUMBERS!!!

WaynettaSlobsLover Mon 25-Mar-13 19:56:19

Watching with interest. I know three families with 8 kids each and my dh's parents have 8-11 siblings. smile

annelid Mon 25-Mar-13 22:00:56

I have 7 children, 3 girls & 4 boys, ranging from 17 to 3 months

theboob Mon 25-Mar-13 22:03:19

I have 2 boys and 2 girls , pregnant with num 5 !

Myliferocks Mon 25-Mar-13 22:05:46

I have 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys.

bigbuttons Mon 25-Mar-13 22:08:25

I have a mere 6, ranging from 14 to 6 ,3 boys, 3 girls, 3 with blue eyes,3 with brown!

NAR4 Tue 26-Mar-13 07:28:35

I have 5 DCs, 4 DSs and 1 DD, ranging in age from 16 to 4 weeks.

When I read the thread I took it as parents calling a registar when they went anywhere to ensure they didn't leave any children behind. Not such a silly idea if all your children are young and you are sufferring from severe baby brain/lack of sleep. blush

iclaudius Tue 26-Mar-13 11:20:18

I have seven and one brewing
6 boys 1 girl
4 brown 3 blue

kentDee Tue 26-Mar-13 11:21:29

I have a 4 year old and 1 year old triplets!

zaphod Tue 26-Mar-13 11:37:55

I have five. Four boys, one girl, aged 19 to 9. Dd is my second child. People tend to assume I kept going til I got a girl!

iclaudius Tue 26-Mar-13 11:55:49

Zaphod same here!!!!

5kidsnobump Tue 26-Mar-13 12:29:33

I have five (as the name would suggest grin)

3 boys, 2 girls ranging from 6 years to 5 months!

Madlizzy Tue 26-Mar-13 12:31:24

I have a 20 year old and 14 year old triplets. Actually, not that huge a family. grin

KentDee, enjoy your babies! They are easier than teens.

Oodsigma Tue 26-Mar-13 12:55:57

Another one with 'only' 4 here. 3 dds and ds.

Totally agree on babies being easier than teens. Have them at both ends at the moment.

anklebitersmum Tue 26-Mar-13 13:08:04

4DC and a DSC as of the weekend grin

Boy 13, boy 13, girl 7, boy 6, girl 3

insanityscratching Tue 26-Mar-13 13:14:24

I have only 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls ranging from 25 to 10. It's a breeze now compared to when they were small but I really miss being surrounded by little ones.

Hi, just 4 here! ds8,dd7, ds2,2 brown eyed,
2 blue eyed. I love seeing people with more children than us!

Oh, missed dd5! Silly phone!

harrygracejessica Tue 26-Mar-13 16:18:15

Only 5 here too. 3 boys and 2 girls.

Boy 6
Girl and girl 5
Boy and boy 2

idobelieveinfairies Tue 26-Mar-13 16:21:41

I'm still here!!!

I have 8 (20-8) 6 boys and 2 girls.

iclaudius Tue 26-Mar-13 20:32:59

how is it idobelieveinfaeries???

Annunziata Tue 26-Mar-13 21:55:23

I have 6, 4 boys and 2 girls.

I grew up as one of 8 too smile

I'm pregnant with number 5. 1 boy and 3 girls so far.

Diege Thu 28-Mar-13 11:06:54

Pregnant with number 6 here. Currently have 3 dds (11,10,7) and 2 ds's (3 and 18mths) smile Dreading the comments and telling work...

iclaudius Thu 28-Mar-13 23:42:39

Oooh diege I remember you from the 'other' thread smile

Diege Fri 29-Mar-13 07:36:38

Ooh the 40 plus?? <intrigued>

iclaudius Fri 29-Mar-13 16:28:23

Yes I was there a white but lurked a lot as mc a lot! Had a long awaited one last feb and am now 22 weeks again with a surprise baby!! Like buses eh? Wait ages for one!!!

Congrats anyway - at least your numbers make me look less freaky!!!

Love this thread.
It makes me feel like a have a teeny family!

We have 4 who range from 5.5 to 17 months.

3 girls and a boy. And a dog
I am not having anymore! (Well maybe more dogs)

I 'only' have 4.

2 ds (9 + 7) and 2 dd (4 + 3 months)

I am done am amazed at the brave women with any more! shock grin

MrsDeVere Fri 29-Mar-13 16:46:28

I have five
1 girl who died aged 14 nearly 7 years ago. She would have been 21 January just gone.
4 boys - very nearly 3, 5, 9, 19.

4 have blue/greenyblue eyes, one has brown.

I would love more but I decided best not due to my age (45), OH having MS and one of our boys having SN.

Doesn't stop me yearning for that No 6 that I know I was meant to have! smile

Diege Fri 29-Mar-13 19:19:08

Sorry for the loss of your daughter mrsdevere that must be very hard sad
Wow iclaudius so soon to be number 8!!! Many congrats- I like a nice even number grin Pop over onto the thread and say hello if you get the chance!

iclaudius Fri 29-Mar-13 20:49:43

Mrs de vere - am your age currently feeling 90!

MrsDeVere Fri 29-Mar-13 20:57:15

Well I'm not surprised! Two babies so close together would make a 20 year old feel about 90 grin

After I had DC5 I asked OH to have the snip. I did it because I knew that I would be wanting another baby in a few months and I seemed to be very lucky in being able to get pregnant very quickly!
DC4 was supposed to be my last but I thought 'oh well might as well go for another one, its unlikely to happen'. It did...very quickly blush

It was weird. I didn't want him to do it but I knew it was the only way really.
I still hope for a 'little miracle' though grin
One never knows......

Frikadellen Fri 29-Mar-13 21:05:39

4 dd1 is 15 dds 13 ds 11 and dd3 9

iclaudius Fri 29-Mar-13 22:03:06

Mrs de vere!!

( our dc4 and dc5 share a name but i never disclose!! wink)

almostanotherday Fri 29-Mar-13 22:06:43

I just have the 7
boys and girls
teens and younger ones

5eggstremelychocaletymadeggs Fri 29-Mar-13 22:08:38

I have five, four boys aged 13, 10, 8 and just 5 and one girl who is 27mths.

Sometimes fancy another but can't afford it.

I have a ds with the same name as Mrsdeveres youngest as well grin

KateShmate Fri 29-Mar-13 22:17:34

5 DD's!
6YO, 5YO and 3YO triplets smile

duchesse Fri 29-Mar-13 22:19:42

Bloody hell Kate! That's almost as close in age as our friends who had two multiple births in 2 years (5 in 2 years).

iclaudius Fri 29-Mar-13 22:23:13

5 eggs - wow that's odd!!!! Mine is 10!

MrsDeVere Fri 29-Mar-13 22:24:35

Well mothers with lots of kids are obviously very good at choosing names ;)

Only four here too: aged 13, 11, 8 and 8.

BeaWheesht Fri 29-Mar-13 22:30:17

Awh enjoy your families. I'm very envious of you all, we only have 2 but we won't have anymore, always feel there's a few missing iykwim?

KateShmate Fri 29-Mar-13 22:34:02

Duchesse It felt like it at times! We had 5 under 3, but the eldest only turned 3, 2 weeks before triplets were born; and there is 15 months between DD1 and DD2

sweetkitty Fri 29-Mar-13 22:36:52

Another with only 4, 3DDs 1DS

(8,7,4 and 2)

PearlyWhites Fri 29-Mar-13 22:39:05

4 dd 14 dd 8 dd 2 and ds 7 months

Bluelightsandsirens Fri 29-Mar-13 22:44:51

We only have 3 all under 10 and in school.

Can I ask how you all cope with going out in the car etc with more than 3, genuine question because I dread that car seat rock and roll to get the car seats in and then the "she is leaning on me" etc

I would love more but i don't think my nerves could take it smile

My5boysandme Fri 29-Mar-13 22:44:53

I have 5 boys and pregnant with boy no6.

My boys are 9,8,6 and 4. Sadly my youngest will forever be 13 weeks and 4 days.

bluelights you need a stupidly big car that is almost impossible to park.

my5 so sorry for your loss & congratulations on your impending arrival.

Oh and well done for managing to leave the house with that many/remain sane enough to write in sentences!

happynappies Sat 30-Mar-13 06:54:33

Diege I remember you from the 'wagon' thread when I was ttc #2... I have a modest family of 4, 3 dds and a ds, ages 6,4,2 ans 6 months.

purplepippin Sat 30-Mar-13 07:01:07

I have 5 dc, 4 ds aged 10,8,6,3 and then dd who is nearly 1. Life is manic and totally crazy all the time hoping as the little ones get older things calm down a bit.

iclaudius Sat 30-Mar-13 11:04:02

Purple I've recently reined in on behaviour as things were so loud!! It's hard!

Fresh01 Sat 30-Mar-13 12:55:31

4 here! 3 DD's aged 7, 5 and 1 then DS aged 3.

Know 3 people expecting no 5 and one expecting no 6 but we are done!

stuffthenonsense Sat 30-Mar-13 13:09:20

Baby 6 on its way. So far 4 dds and 1 ds ranging from 18 yrs to 12 months

FuelledByChocolate Sat 30-Mar-13 13:17:33

Only 4 so far for me, all boys smile my youngest is 8 weeks.

Four4me Sat 30-Mar-13 21:48:45

Only Four for me! wink
DS - 9, DS - 8, DD - 3, DS - 2

I would have loved more, but dh he say no!!!!

Plumsieinaonesie Sun 31-Mar-13 02:29:44

4 here.
DD 9, Dd 7, Ds 2.5 and Dd 7 months.

Thought we were done after no 3 but then no 4 decided to appear.

Hectic at times, but so enjoyable, would love more!!!!

missmorter Sun 31-Mar-13 15:13:13

4 boys here aged 11 months to 9.

I really wish I knew some if you in RL. I'm an oddity round here. Having all boys makes me stand out even more.

cazboldy Sun 31-Mar-13 15:19:40

I have 3 boys and 2 girls

and am pg with number 6

Currently range from 16 - 6 next week.

cazboldy Sun 31-Mar-13 15:20:04

is that 3 of us pg with number 6? smile

5eggstremelychocaletymadeggs Sun 31-Mar-13 15:25:02

There are a few of us with four boys!

Does anyone want to do a statistic post ie how many families with all boys/girls etc.

iclaudius Sun 31-Mar-13 22:58:48

yes the boy thing does seem to be an oddity here too although i know the odd one with four!

5eggstremelychocaletymadeggs Sun 31-Mar-13 23:31:14

I know one other mum with four boys smile

imip Mon 01-Apr-13 06:42:56

4 dc here also. 6, 4, 3 and 14 months. All girls. My first beautiful baby was born sleeping. So, sadly, five dds here. My eldest is 11 months older than dd1. It pains me not to count my first daughter as dd1 iyswim.

I am very much an oddity also, always get comments on all girls.

I would love more but fear I could not manage another pregnancy and I only just cope with the four I have got!

CheerfulYank Mon 01-Apr-13 07:20:18

I'm jealous! smile

I've got DS and a DD on the way. I'd dearly love 5. I'm almost 31 so don't know if I've got time, but DH sand and I were hoping to adopt as well anyway.

Only 5 for me although I'm so broody for a sixth (DH says a big NO).
1 Ds and 4 dds ages 2-16!
The boy came first smile

Diege Mon 01-Apr-13 10:19:49

Hi happy, yes, I remember you from the thread - wow, congrats on your 4 smile
caz yes I think there are 3 of us on here alone who are expecting number 6 - me and stuff are on the Nov antenatal thread although I am technically October too after scan brought me forward (oct 24th).
I had 3 dds first then 2ds's. I people were surprised I had another after ds1 as they (wrongly) assumed I was only keeping on going to get a boy hmm. Goodness knows what the comments will be like this time...

Diege Mon 01-Apr-13 10:21:06

On and cheerfulyeank you have lots of time grin. I had dd1 at 31 and will (fingers crossed) be having number 6 at 43 shock

Ruprekt Mon 01-Apr-13 10:28:21

Wow! Some of these numbers make my eyes water!!

How do you all cope and how do you afford it?

Tortoise Mon 01-Apr-13 10:46:38

I have 4.
Two boys age 16 and 13.
Two girls 8 and 9.
I'd love to have more but doesn't look likely sad .

Diege Mon 01-Apr-13 11:06:18

Hi ruprekt smile I think everyone copes in different ways, depending on their situation/family or work set-up. Personally dh and I are both fortunate enough to be in very good jobs, so financially we cope. Emotionally it can be harder at times (esp when we get in at 6pm to the breakfast things still on the table!) but overall the good outweighs the bad...just about wink

cazboldy Mon 01-Apr-13 11:09:22

Diege I am due on 7th Oct, so not so far away from you and stuff smile

only four, wishing DH though our finaces could stretch to moresad

DS 8 next week, DD 6, DS 4 yesterday and DS 20months.

DD begging us to have another as she misses having a little baby about, can't blame her as so do I, but she is worried she'd end up with another brother and that 'wouldn't be fair'

I have 4 dd's 11,7,5,4, coincidently each of my bil's and sil's have 4dc's. my sil has 4 ds's so we balanced out nicely. No more for us, I said I'd stop at 30 but was actually finished at 26.

Whoops dd2 is 8, her birthday was Friday blush That's why I'm not allowed anymore grin

annelid Tue 02-Apr-13 13:26:40

Right, have attempted a list for you, sorry if I've missed anyone!

1. Started with all the people with 4 children, then 5 etc
2. Then within that list DD's first, then DS's, so someone with 1 DD will come before those with 2 or 3 DD's...hope thats okay

Thanks annelid for the list! Can you imagine what it would be like if we all met up and brought the dcs along? grin

Four4me Tue 02-Apr-13 15:26:29

Wow fab list. Yep imagine a massive picnic with us all, we'd take over the whole park.
We just had dd1(3) and ds3(2) at home last night as older two were at dgp. It was so strange and I made far too much tea!!! I guess those of you with 6/7/8 think 4 is easy! grin

5eggstremelychocaletymadeggs Tue 02-Apr-13 16:41:41

Ha ha it would be some meet up. I had my five plus an extra two today, six boys and one girl altogether and I took them all to the park, they are 13, 10, 8, 6, just 5 almost 5 and then dd who is 27mths, so all could have been mine, all blonde hair and blue eyes as well. There were a few raised eyebrows as we entered the park!

5eggstremelychocaletymadeggs Tue 02-Apr-13 16:42:40

Just 5 and almost 4 that should say.

FOURBOYSUNDER6 Tue 02-Apr-13 22:27:29

Four boys under six !!! Would love more if dh would like to !!!

BadRoly Tue 02-Apr-13 22:33:37

I'm never sure if 4dc is a large family blush

But I have 2dd (11 & 6) and 2 ds (9 & 3). All big mousey blond hair and blue eyed except for my brown eyed baby boy!

iclaudius Tue 02-Apr-13 22:40:57

Wow thanks Annelid!

BeattieBow Tue 02-Apr-13 22:47:05

6 here - 2 boys and 4 girls. aged from 14 to 11 months. hello Diege! I knew you would....

I love it. iclaudius, I think I know who you are too (maybe...).

I am done now on 6.

iclaudius Tue 02-Apr-13 23:14:41

i know you from the self same thread Beattie!!!

Diege Thu 04-Apr-13 08:00:15

Hi beattie!!! I often think of you and wonder how things are going. I am also going to be totally done (in) after number 6 - and I mean it this time grin

I have 5.
2 girls 3 boys smile

mammyemcbe Thu 04-Apr-13 08:48:49

6 dcs here. 4 dds and 2 ds. Aged 10,9,8,4,3,1. I did swear after dc6 that was it, but now I'm not so sure wink

iclaudius Thu 04-Apr-13 11:37:30

Mammy that looks hard work!!

mammyemcbe Thu 04-Apr-13 12:49:45

Ha iclaudius there's only a ten month gap between the 8 and 9 year old so If I can survive that ill survive anything grin
On a good day I'd have 2 or 3 more but on a rough day I do contemplate hiding in a wardrobe shock ( it hasn't come to that yet though)

mumsylady Thu 04-Apr-13 12:56:47

I am expecting dd3 anyday now smile) due on 5th April, also have 5 lovely boys too smile

ps when are you due iclaudius?

I have 6DC 4 boys 2 girls
ds 1 is 12
Ds 2 is 11
Dd1 is 6
Ds3 is 5
Ds4 is 3
Dd2 is 3 (we stopped when they started coming in pairs)

TomDudgeon Sat 06-Apr-13 18:10:26

I only have 4

Ds10 Ds 8 dd6 Ds3 (4 in a week when it'll become neater)

Would have loved more but dh had the snip now which is probably sensible as we're broke but it doesn't stop the yearning

TomDudgeon Sat 06-Apr-13 18:11:54

I have friends with large families
Two of which one has four boys the other five (only)

LongStory Sat 06-Apr-13 23:06:17

Hello great thread, sorry I've been offline for the last fortnight. I have 5 aged 4-12, 3 DS and 2 DDs. I only know two other large families in RL, so really value this group.

MissLurkalot Sat 06-Apr-13 23:38:00

4 kids from 22nd May!
2 girls, 2 boys!
Dd (8), dd (4), ds (2), ds (0)

Oh had the snip when we found out we were pregnant with ds4.
He's been sending 'samples' off for a while now, and he's still got a very high sperm count! Eek! Only 6 weeks and ds4 will be here!!!

iclaudius Sun 07-Apr-13 00:01:15

Long story - that's true we should all make more of it!

deleted203 Sun 07-Apr-13 00:07:50

5 kids of my own. 3 boys, 2 girls. Plus DD2s bf during uni holidays as his parents have emigrated. Plus 'adopted' 21yo DD (friend of eldest DD - her single mother died when she was in 6th form so she moved in with us) now back from uni. So, often 7 of them, aged 21 - 7.

We're used to the chaos. I'm No 5 out of 8 siblings. DH is eldest of 5.

idiuntno57 Sun 07-Apr-13 17:10:22

I have x4 DS. 4, 6, 8 and 8.

Sometimes I feel like a freak.

almostanotherday Sun 07-Apr-13 20:42:53

Does anyone else get the question, how do you cope with that many DC?
I don't think I have ever thought about "coping" I just get on with what ever needs doing regardless of how many DC i have or is that just me?

ZenWarrierPrincess Sun 07-Apr-13 23:40:00

We have 4 DCs under 6 - 2 DDs and 2 DSs. Love reading about all of you others with larger families and feeling some solidarity smile

sweetkitty Mon 08-Apr-13 09:06:37

It's so nice there are so many of us, and loads like us 3DDs 1DS, I don't think 4 is larger everyone else does though.

We're definitely stopping at 4, SPD pregnancies I don't think I could cope being pregnant again, feel its unfair on the others plus they all have their own bedrooms now and if we had another 2 would have to share plus the cost plus the sheer mental and physical exhaustion. In saying that I am very sad that my baby DS is turning 3 next month.

EntWife Mon 08-Apr-13 11:29:35

am obviously a junior member here with only 4DC.

DSD is 10. DD1 is 3, DD2 is 11 months and DC3 will be born in August.

DC3 was a complete accident. We never meant to have a "large" family. We found out i was pregnant 10 days before DH was due to go in for the big snip.

MamaBlue4 Mon 08-Apr-13 14:46:32

Pregnant with maybe #5 & #6. I have 4 other children. MoMo boys (6 months), ds1 (4) and dd (who turned 2 today.)

We said we'd stop at 5 but when the new arrival and dts are older say around 3, we've agreed to try again. I'm only 23 and dh is 28 so I've got plenty of time.

Can I join? I recognise a few faces on here! smile

I have 'only' 4 kids - 3 DS and 1 DD aged between 8 years and almost 8 weeks!

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs Thu 11-Apr-13 23:27:24

Not that large, but large to me.

4 DC's, DD is 15, DS1 is 11, DS2 is 9, and DS3 is 2yo.

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs Thu 11-Apr-13 23:33:31

I also have an angel baby. He comes between DS2 & DS3 (hence the large gap).

He would be just about to turn 4yo in a few days.

So, really, in my heart, I have 5 DC's, but when I say that in RL people look at me as if I'm weird.

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs Thu 11-Apr-13 23:38:53

So to me, really, it would go

DD 15, DS1 11, DS2 9, AngelDS 4, DS3 2.

People are shocked when they realise my girl is my eldest!!

forgossake Sat 13-Apr-13 09:37:52

4 Dc's here. 3 ds and 1 dd. Oldest is 15 and youngest is 2.
Crazy to think that we spent years deciding whether to go for a third and within a year of having ds3, I was expecting a fourth! How did that happen?

sadsong Sun 14-Apr-13 18:41:29

I had 4dc, dh had 5dc and we had 1dc together! 10 over here ranging from 18 months to 18 years! We are now done! wink

notnagging Wed 17-Apr-13 05:52:27

A bit late but the school holidays nearly wiped me outgrin
I have 5 boys ( 12,10,10,5,8mths).
I know another mum with 4boys inc. twins& another with 5 boys. Makes a huge difference to find people with similar families grin

notnagging Wed 17-Apr-13 05:54:53

Can I also ask how many of you work & whether it is full time or part time? I need to go back to work & debating whether I can cope full timehmm

toodles Wed 17-Apr-13 06:13:09

Another junior member here. 4dc's from 14 - 2, 3dd's and 1ds. Big gaps between them all. If I was younger and could afford some help in the house, I definitely would have more but I think I'm done now, although sometimes I still think what if. Would love to have another ds to even out the numbers, and just the experience of raising another ds.

Diege Sat 20-Apr-13 20:01:22

notnagging, I work full-time, though am able to work from home one day a week. I always have, so just seems normal to me (I'm pregnant with no.6). If you have hands-on dp and share out staying-at-home when dcs are sick it is very doable smile

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission Mon 22-Apr-13 10:28:28

I have 5 too, 3 girls, 2 boys and ranging from 22 to 3. My youngest is off to school in september, not sure where that time went!

I'm expecting my 6th in Nov, also on the antenatal thread.
11 year old dd, 9 year old ds, 6 year old ds, 14 month old dd and sadly my other daughter was stillborn at 37 weeks in dec 2010.

Cheese I remember Scarlett. Wishing you a peaceful pregnancy and much happiness with your sixth baby.

CherryPie3 Sat 04-May-13 09:00:17

I only have 3! Feel very inadequate here smile

Hankering after number 4 but it's looking impossible unlikely with my reluctant dh.

GaribaldiGirl Sat 04-May-13 22:34:06

Just the 5 here. 3 DDs and 2DSs. All lovely children, but huge creators of mess and noise.

MultipleMama Mon 06-May-13 15:32:13

I have have 4 under 5. 3 boys and 1 girl (4, 7mo Id twins, 2).

I'm also PG with my 2nd set of twins. Fraternal this time.

MultipleMama Mon 06-May-13 15:37:04

I work full time but take a year off (til child turns 1) then I go back to work. We can afford it and dh and I share responsibility so it works and I have semi-retired DF for child care.

VitoCorleone Mon 06-May-13 16:34:45

Aww wish i had loads of kids, i just have 2 and would like 4 or 5, problem is i hate being pregnant!

A friend of mine is pregnant with number 7, she has 5 boys and 1 girl and is keeping this one a surprise.

CherryPie3 Mon 06-May-13 19:10:38

Awww vito that's lovely that your friend isn't finding out this time, I didn't on my last and it was very special smile

I reckon you should have just one or 2 more... I don't have great pregnancies either and end up a non-walking mess with SPD/pgp but I wouldn't stop me having 10 more!! <<I wish>>

musicalfamily Thu 09-May-13 13:40:23

Bit late to this but we have 4 under 8s, 2 boys and 2 girls. Our youngest is 3 and 8 months, so very close together!!! We found it very hard when they were all very young but now that the youngest is nearly 4 it is amazing and they are all very close (although we have lots of arguments too!)

heronsfly Thu 09-May-13 13:44:04

Ive got 6.
3 girls, 3 boys, ages range from 14 to 34,grin
Work part time, always have done, only way we can manage.

FreedomOfTheTess Fri 10-May-13 11:51:57

I have 3 DC and am cooking one.

Puddlelane Fri 10-May-13 21:02:47

I'm getting broody!

lia66 Fri 10-May-13 21:12:13

I have 6

4 girls and 2 boys
Dd is 18
Ds almost 16
Ds almost 10
Dd 8
Dd 6
Dd 2

I was 44 when I had youngest, am now 46 and still hoping mother nature might be kind to me in the shape of a last minute bundle ( you can dream right? )

I recognise a few names on here smile

Nonotthatagain Fri 10-May-13 21:13:22

another one with 4, DS 18, DD1 16, DD2 15, DD3 14 - would have had another but started late (& DH said no)

Hassled Fri 10-May-13 21:14:00

A mere 4 here, but well spaced out - I take my hat off to those of you with 4 or more close together.

Jojay Fri 10-May-13 21:14:55

Just the 4 here, DS 6, DS 4, then DTD and DTS 21 mths.

I love them all to death but I am SO over being broody now. No more!!

ClairesTravellingCircus Sat 11-May-13 10:48:15

4 here too dd1 dd2 dtd dts

I still get broody despite the fact I havent had a full nights sleep in 15 months!

But the risk of having twins again is enough to make it go awaygrin

CherryPie3 Sat 11-May-13 18:31:32

<waves> to lia smile

Hope you're well hun xx

coldethyl Sat 11-May-13 20:20:33

4 here too - DS 11, DS 10, DD 8, DS 2. Def enough for us, I'm struggling to keep up as it is. Today has been a long day of sniping while it rains, but often it's just lovely and I always wanted a large family. DH is an only child and periodically looks around and says 'who do all these children belong to?' grin

lia66 Sat 11-May-13 22:01:03

Waves back to cherry we are all good thank you. Relocated to the west midlands last year. It's working out well.

DwellsUndertheSink Sat 11-May-13 22:07:43

i have 5 currently - 4 boys and a girl. 3 are mine, 2 are fosterlings. age range 16-2

lookingforbaubles Sat 11-May-13 22:22:38

officially 5 but add in 2 girl friends and a besty friend who seem to live here makes 8

not some thing i had considered when they were younger, 5 dc actually results in 10 for breakfast/lunch/tea!

MMollyMum2 Sat 18-May-13 09:15:30

I have 3 at the moment and pregnant with 4, 5, and 6.

Mrpip Sun 19-May-13 07:13:08

5 here. 4ds and 1dd. I've been surprised how many others have the same combination. Everyone assumes we were waiting on a girl as dd is the youngest but that was never the case. I'd love one more but my body is no longer willing!

2old2beamum Sun 19-May-13 11:52:56

I have DD1 who is 22, DS1 who is 17, DS2 who is 7 but only for another six days and DD2 who is 2and a half.

I'm a single parent which makes me feel I'm looking after 500 children at times and not just 4!!

5andnomore Thu 13-Jun-13 16:58:56

I have 5 dcs aged 10, 8, 6(dts) and 5. 3 boys and 2 girls. It is all getting easier at the moment. Probably the lull before the teenage hormone storm that will be coming grin.

dotcomlovenest Thu 13-Jun-13 19:54:52

5 girls and 2 boys.

charlottehere Thu 13-Jun-13 23:06:32

charlottehere Thu 13-Jun-13 23:09:41

Not having anymore.....DH has had the snip

FreedomOfTheTess Sat 15-Jun-13 15:14:50

DD2 arrived about 4.5 weeks early, but all was well, and doctor said maybe my due date was a couple of weeks out, as her weight didn't reflect a baby being born 4.5 weeks early.

So I have my fourth and last now.

DH will be having le snip very soon.

mrslb333 Sun 16-Jun-13 23:35:51

We have 5 aged 4, 4, 10, 12, 14 3 girls 2 boys smile

I have 4 and another due at christmas.

Ages are 5,4 3 and 9 months.

AmberSocks Wed 26-Jun-13 13:16:38

I have stopped thinking about how many we will have,at the moment ijust know that i will probably want another one after this one so that will be 6.FInancially we can afford lots so i guess its just down to how many we can cope with!

sweetno64 Thu 04-Jul-13 20:49:42

4 aged: 6 1/2 (x2), 3 and 16 months.

I feel quite happy although stretched with 4. DH has had the snip but I worry at 33 I will actually want another down the line..... shock

ZingWidge Wed 10-Jul-13 12:50:30

5 boys - 12, 10, 8, 6 and 3 and baby DD who is 15 months

I'm almost 39 and I really want 2 more

Twit Wed 10-Jul-13 21:04:10

I'm a lightweight with 5, 4 ds and 1 dd, I get the 'kept trying til we got a girl' as well but no, she is in the middle. Dd wants us to have a sister for her lol but I'm done I think.

NK346f2849X127d8bca260 Fri 12-Jul-13 12:49:48

First grandchild due in October.

but where is that namechange we talked about? wink
I have a brand new name, see?

mumsylady Sat 13-Jul-13 11:21:13

Our little lady arrived a week late , in April ....fortunately not April fools day :D she is our 3rd daughter, so girls catching up. She is so beautiful & we feel very blessed & we are thoroughly grateful for all our children. ? But it's hard work !!!!

mumsylady Sat 13-Jul-13 11:22:38

That should be an exclamation mark, not a question Mark lol . ? Blasted tablet

ZingWidge Sat 13-Jul-13 12:44:35

if I had twins - a boy and a girl- I'd have what you have.

shall I try? grin

MultipleMama Fri 19-Jul-13 01:10:15

Today I found out the sex of 2nd set of twins are!

A little boy & girl. So now family and friend don't have to keep guessing if they're fraternal or another ID set haha.

So, I now have 4 boys and 2 girls! smile

ZingWidge Fri 19-Jul-13 01:23:17

congratulations multimama thanks

Thinkingofmyfabfour Sat 20-Jul-13 13:20:47

I have 4, ds1 age 6, ds2 3 (nearly 4), ds3 2 and dd 5 days old!!
Can't really comment on how I'm going to cope with 4 yet but this will be our last, dh is having the snip. Have been getting lots of 'you got your girl at last' type comments but that's to be expected I suppose. Didn't know we were having a girl so am a bit shocked as I expected to be a mum of 4 boys!

NAR4 Sat 27-Jul-13 17:33:20

To be nosey. How do those of you with 6 or more manage financially? I ask because we would love more but just can't afford it. Don't think we could stretch to running a 9 seater, for example. Are lots of you self employed or do you simply pull your belts in tighter?

MultipleMama Tue 30-Jul-13 23:24:56

DH has a great job and a new promotion. And he works in finance so he's great with money. We sell to buy with a lot of things i.e sell things/products and with that money we buy the product we want. Luxuries are saved up for, Xmas etc are bought throughout year. I'm on maternity leave and have 2 jobs that are done online which I get paid for. And our child fees etc will be paid for from my trust fund when we move.

DH keeps everything on a tight leash and we're practical especially on those tight months. We struggle and manage some months.

mathanxiety Sun 04-Aug-13 06:27:07

5 here.
4 DDs and one DS. DS is DC2.
They are - almost 12, 15, 18, 20 and 23.
Two redheads, two brunettes and one blondey; all blue and blue-green eyes, pale Irish skin, freckles - some more, some less.
I feel I've sort of retired from the really active bit of parenting at this point, or maybe I'm just a zombie on autopilot. I've been a single mother for six years now.

hottea7 Mon 05-Aug-13 08:06:23

I have 6, they are 11, 7, 5, 3, 19months and one week, dh has said no more sad

BopsX3 Sat 16-Nov-13 23:20:22

Hi, I don't have a large family (yet) but just out of interest, how many children of one sex did you have before you had a child of the opposite sex? (Hope that makes sense confused)

Just because I have 3 boys, who I love very much. However, I'm dying for a daughter. I know it's all totally random and everyones different but just thought itd be interesting to find out smile

(Sorry for gate crashing)

melmo26 Thu 21-Nov-13 14:33:33

bopsX3 I have 3 dds (12, 12, 8) and then had 3 ds's (4, 2 and 6 weeks). Was very surprised to have a ds after 3 dds, but seem to be on a roll now grin. Interested (in a purely theoretical way as we are 'done') if I would start again with dds!
