Rules for sharing cardboard boxes?

I usually resort to just breaking it down because they are so bad at taking turns, and such nasty fights ensue, or they have completely different ideas of what to do with it (DD might want to cut it to pieces while DS1 wants to hibernate in it, etc.)

Short of getting one similar size box for each child (impossible when you only needed one new fridge/set of trampolene pads/whatever), what do you do?

I turn them into playhouses - cut out windows with shutter and a door - sticking a few large boxes together to make rooms. Let the one who wants to do the arty stuff decorate it and add things like chimneys, whilst the other plays in it....works for me! hth

I quite like the idea of one each and shutting the lids

And taping them shut, bronze, you forgot about the tape. Then I could trudge them down to PO and mail off to Grandparents...

Oh, if only!!!
