I'm really hoping the next few weeks fly by. I keep thinking, 2 weeks 'til Christmas, then 2 weeks 'til ds1's birthday, then 2 weeks 'til my pool arrives, then 3 weeks and I'm due.

it's not going any faster though, and realistically this one'll be a week late as well.

How any of you got out of bed to do the school run is beyond me.

Yup, #4 was the hardest by a long way. If one more person had said 'well you must be used to it by now', think I'd have screamed...

My 4th was twins. I felt very sick at the start and it got better after that. I didn't feel too bad after that, could work to 40 weeks even although work is really just sitting at a desk so may be that's why it's easier. Women who work and pay a nanny and cleaner to deal with the other children are probably the ones who have things easiest. Perhaps it all comes down to money and your economic power at the end of the day.

well, I was working until my pelvis started to give in, but with Chiro I'll be back at Christmas.
I'm sure if we could afford to pay for a nanny or similar then I would find it easier. There's a bit of a stigma up here with paying for a nanny tbh.
It's something I have and might still consider. They don't have to live-in do they?

I'm viewing the pg as a means to an end now. It was planned and is very much wanted by our whole family, but the purpose was for a final fourth child, not a pregnancy.
Maybe that's part of the problem....I actually did not have that desire to be pregnant again and so can't live in the moment so to speak.

I am only 13wks in but have not enjoyed any of it yet..feel tired,bloated and ill more so than with any of the others. Just think the end is in sight

Am 28 wks on 4th pregnancy with twins and it's hard going. Have some money and economic power, with nanny 3 days a week plus cleaner, and DH does school run. But tbh that doesn't help much when vomiting and weeing on the floor at the same time. The commute to the other side of London isn't easy but I'm trying to stick with it despite my huge size so I get to the Christmas lunches!

I quite liked the process of being pregnant once I was over the dreadful first 3 months of extra special twin sickness.

If two of us have worked in 4th pregnancy with twins and had some child care and cleaner etc I do think that can make a difference where it's affordable but pointless to write about it if it isn't. I suppose when you work full time you're so busy you don't have time to think about things. Mind you home with three children under 4 which we had for a time and I certainly remember how that was like at weekends and holidays, was much harder and so much going on time never dragged.

ps in 24 years of my working full time and having children (my oldest is 24), twins are 10, we never had a live in nanny. I wouldn't have wanted someone to live in. The last one we advertised in the local paper, got about 60 people calling and interviewd and she just came in the day and left when we got back from work.
