Getting over not having no 4

Hiya
I have 3 DC under 6.
They're all fine, healthy etc well behaved

DH said he would have no3 as long as had snip after, having the snip was due to:
- me being a temp and lack of money while off on may leave
- always on bed rest from 26-37wk when induced
- thyroid issue means gain 5st each time (inc 2st when baby is around 6wk) and it takes me years to lose it

Now youngest is over 1 & I'm back temping, some of my other friends are discussing Ttc and feel really sad

Like other than the above issues no reason why not (and the snip!). DH has excellent salary and working hours. People carrier. We're both 30

Obv could ask DH to have it reversed, it was 16m ago he did it

Any opinions/ advice? smile

How did you accept your lot/ you're done? Just sad into 'child' days and baby days are behind me and the other babies that could have been.

Sadly I thinks it's very unlikey he is going to agree to another baby isn't it?
He had an operation to make sure that he wouldn't be a father again.
I'm not sure how you deal with it as I'm happy with the 2 I've got and have no rest yearning for another. My youngest is 2 and was sad when the baby days were done and I put away the baby clothes but I just focussed on what a lovely little girl she had become and enjoyed the positive changes in my life that come from being less tied down.
I do think you are going to have to accept that your family is complete and find a new focus for yourself.

If your dh earns well, surely reason number one on your list is irrelevant?
So it's down to your health really, isn't it. Which is really important because if you're not fully functional for part of the time, presumably Dh has to pick up the slack.

I think that in terms of acceptance, its easier once the little ones are 3+ because you probably still have hormones telling you to have another. They are very powerful, for some people more than others.

Good luck with your shifting focus... kids get better and better as they grow up!
