3 car seats across backseat - please tell me your car and car seat combinations?

Looking for a car that fits baby seat, group 1 toddler seat and preferably a high backed booster (although will consider backless - but not ideal) across back seat.

If you've managed it what car do you have and what make/model of car seats? Just wanted to compare combinations! :)

Need to replace our car before no 3 arrives but not keen on a 7 seater.

Tried our current peugeot 406 but could only manage it with a backless booster.

As in, it fit, but doing the seat belts and stuff was a nightmare and I wouldn't want to do it often!

How about an S Max? Or is that a 7 seater?

I love my vw touran but it is a 7 seater. I have 3dc and wanted to be able to have dc friends to play after school so extra seats help. Plus the boot space with 3dc is helpful. Can do all kinds of combinations. We had 3yo dd and twins. Finally have all 3 high back boosters.
you need a car with 3 full seats. Most have not got a full size middle seat. Dad's new mondeo doesn't quite fit 3 Sad

I had a Honda CRV. I put a infant seat (a maxi cosi - pebble, maybe?) behind the drivers seat. A rear facing two way elite in the middle (which worked ok with the double latch seatbelt) and a high backed booster behind the passenger seat. It was a Britax Adventure, which was then (possibly still is) the slimmest hbb available.

It worked for us for a couple of years, and staved off buying a new car until we were due a change anyway.

Are you near an InCar safety centre? They are brilliant, and found the above solution for us (took about 3 hours, and we must have tried every possible combination in the shop!). They have a wide range of seats and are very knowledgable about various seats/types of car

Ford Galaxy and we have so so much space...embrace the 7 seater, you'll need it; you'll love it and when you want to have kids over from school- you have two seats so another pro!

We also have a ford galaxy. Love it. All seat recline individually so great for long journeys!

Do any of the cars mentioned have sliding rear doors? I know the berlingo has three seats in back too, though its looks aren't to everyone's taste.

Can I ask why you're not keen 7 seaters? We have a VW touran and I love the space!

I've also got a high back booster, a baby seat and a joie stages across the back and the seatbelts weren't all that difficult tbh.

We managed three car seats just fine in a Fiat Stilo. It was like the tar dis of cars until I wrote it off 2 months after passing

Smax, fits 3 seats easily. Feels like a smaller car to drive and the back two seats can be hidden away and forgotten about if you so wish.

We have 3 DC, I have a grand Picasso. We had a HBB, booster cushion and an infant seat then a Britax isofix Seat.

This week on holiday we have 2 HBB (one Britax Evolva and a M&P one) with a booster cushion between, as the rules in France (we're in Begium via Eurotunnel) are different.

Landrover Freelander 2 - Britax first class, Britax Prince and a Britax Adventure HBB.
All fit in easily, Britax have narrow bases.
Someone on here recommended a Halfords high backed booster for being narrow too.

We have a zafira. We were ok with a graco 0+, mamas and papas stage 1 and a high backed booster but struggled when DC3 moved to stage 1 as DC2 was too small to move to a high backed booster. We went to mothercare who had never seen this situation with 'so many children' - I wasn't aware that 3 was such an unusual situation but never mind. We went to the in car safety centre and they recommended an extended rear facing seat (which was our preference) in the middle as the largest part (the back of the seat) is then the opposite end to the other seats so we have a britax extended rear facing (up to 25 kg), the stage 1 and a high back booster now.

Volvo XC90
Does not fit three seats but comes with a built in booster in the middle seat
So you can have 2 proper seats then a booster in between
Also two optional pop up seats in the back

Watching this with interest- I need a new car for dc3 but I don't want a long 7-seater as have to park on the road so smaller is better!

Volvo xc90 and we have 3 full car seats across the back-

2 Britax group 2 high back booster 5 point harness ones which are seriously bulky and one isofix maxi cosy recline which is mega massive and heavy.

You just put the isofix one in and then add the other 2- not as fiddly as other cars we've had- DH gets annoyed doing it but can easily accommodate 3 bulky massive car seats

Peugeot 5008 is a 7 seater but is great as it has individual seats in the back and all 3 are isofix. Cheap to run too. We also have a volvo xc 60 and we can fit maxi cosi pebble in and a high back booster and half booster in middle.

We have a 5 seater Renault scenic, an older one with 3 full sized seats in the back, we currently have a newborn car seat, the next one up from that (big old thing) and a high back booster. Also a good size boot which fits our double pram in nicely with room for shopping.
More room in there than in our cmax which is has 5 seats and a big boot but the middle seat isn't full sized, or you have 7 seats up and hardly any boot at all. X
