What months were your children born?

I've got three DCs - May, August and November, so perfectly spread out. Even the dates pretty much match up.

Only now I'm totally fixated on sticking to this "sequence" ie having a February baby ... But that would mean waiting till May to ttc!

So do any of you have DCs with close birthdays? Does it work out ok? Am how do I stop overthinking this?!

Two in February, May, June, August, September.
You are a bit mad.

Lovemy3kids Wed 25-Sep-13 16:06:30

February, April, May (mine is March!)

zimbomaman Wed 25-Sep-13 16:12:11

Two on the same day in August. One (who was due Christmas Day) early December. There is a big gap between the two born on the same day and their sister. Their birthday has always been a little like Christmas in Summer. Never been a problem.

Thanks for the replies!

7to25, why mad?! I like having a few weeks to prepare/save up for each birthday I suppose.

September, February, August, and November. If I'd stuck to the sequence, DS2 would be in March, but that's DH's birthday anyway. Never really had much problem with them. The Sept. and Aug. are just over a month apart. The February is 5-6 days before her father's in March and the August is the day (few hours when she as born) before mine. It's worked quite well so far.

You may be overthinking this a tad wink

I wanted to do this, I didn't plan it but ended up with a Jun, Sep and Dec and thoughts March would spreaders out nicely. Dd didn't conform though and at two weeks late ended up a July baby wink

7to25 Wed 25-Sep-13 16:22:21

Mine were a bit random, I've never planned anything, never mind quarterly babies!

NationalCervix Wed 25-Sep-13 16:24:27

Haha I'm an over thinker by heart unfortunately. I actually didn't plan it like that - but now I'm just being over anxious about absolutely everything.

DP's birthday is actually November like our youngest, but he's not bothered about stuff like this in the slightest. Tbh I think once you're given that EDD it's always exciting counting down!

I only have 2 children but DS1 is early August and DS2 is December 24th (was due on New Years Eve but he decided to come find out what this Christmas malarkey was all about!) I planned both of ours in the hope they'd never have to be at school on their birthdays. It worked! Don't see anything wrong with wanting to space them out to be honest but do be prepared for them to come early or late and mess everything up!

March, July, Aug and two in december! That is a pita as very close to Xmas but its fine.

Debs75 Wed 25-Sep-13 22:33:29

we have, in order of birth, April, February, September and August. Me and DP are December and October. The April and Sept are the same date and the sept and aug are 2 years apart but only 1 school year.
If I had another I would like it to be March or June which does tie in slightly. Not that we are having another

Plumsieinaonesie Wed 25-Sep-13 22:56:57

We have 2 in may as dd2 decided to arrive 3 weeks early and there is 2yrs and 5 days between them.

The others are in sept (due oct) and then Aug (due sept) as they too arrive 2 and 3 weeks, there's 23 months between them.

I was crossing my fingers that no 4 would arrive early and be a aug baby as having 2 birthdays in the same month gets a bit expensive as DH and I have birthdays in the same month too.

ViviDeBeauvoir Wed 25-Sep-13 22:59:26

I only have 3DC but they were born in January, February and March but backwards so if I had another DC they'd have to be born in December.
Didn't plan it like this though!

We have 5 DC, their birthdays are May, June, July, August and October. DH and I have birthdays in September and November, so in our house there is a birthday every month from May until Nov, and then we have Xmas!

We didn't plan any of them to arrive in those particular months, that's just how it happened!

annelid Fri 27-Sep-13 16:18:52

We have 7dc. Birthdays are Oct, 2 in Nov, Dec, Mar, Apr & May. Dh and I are in Jan & Feb. So birthdays each month from Oct to May! Again - not planned like that at all

tallulah Fri 27-Sep-13 17:15:36

We have 5 DC. The girls are Feb and March and the (3) boys are September.

MrsPeeWee Fri 27-Sep-13 17:18:08

1DC, born the month of February. grin

NAR4 Fri 27-Sep-13 22:00:17

Late Feb, early March, late March, early April, early May, then mine in June, dh in July, wedding anniversary August and dh and my sisters in Sep. Just chance but I like how it has worked out.

littlepeas Sun 29-Sep-13 21:24:26

August , September and October! My birthday is in September and dh is on October, so all 5 birthdays within 9 weeks! Then Christmas!

EverythingIsSoThrowback Mon 30-Sep-13 22:04:30

Two In August, one in Sept (all in the space of like 3 weeks!) One in Dec.

3maybe4 Tue 01-Oct-13 18:02:45

DC1 June (3rd), DC2 march, DC3 June (4th )!! And I'm generally a planner!

My children were born June, September, August, September, May, Feb.

So I have 2 with three days difference in birthdays, one born 10dys before the Sep earliest, and my May and June babies are born five days apart.

Realistically, I think having some spread out time would be better financially and with my time. But I wouldn't actively plan to do it any way.
