I'm hoping/ttc another child, but don't know how to describe this on MN

I have an adopted child and 2 I gave birth to. Am I ttc#4 as this child would be my 4th or am I ttc#3 as it hopefully wil be my 3rd birth (not preganacy!!)?

Is it wrong to want to say ttc#4? I feel strongly that I have 3 equal kids but don't want to lie about the number of times I been throught he whole pregancy and early years Confused

what do you think ?

I have no experience of adoption but I don't think how you've had your children is relevant to anyone apart from hcps. You're planning to ttc your fourth so I'd say so. How much info do you need to share about previous pg and births?

You are TTC No 4 IMO.

I suppose it depends who you are talking to: if it is your MW/gyn consultant you should be acurate in the number of pregnancies/MCs/deliveries you had. But for friends/family/nosy neighbours this as-of-yet-unconceived child would be your fourth, non? Biology does not really come into it from a social point of view, I think.

Thank you for your replies, I feel better about putting ttc#4 :)

I would say you are TTC#4 too.

You have three children, therefore you are TTC your fourth child.
