Hi everyone,
I have just discovered this section on MN and was just wondering if Mine would be classed as a large family.
I have 3 ds and the middle one is autistic so I personally have my hands full.
oldest 13, middle 10 and youngest 5.
I also childmind 5 children. Obviously not all at the same time. They are all part timers.
We have 3 adult cats and one of them has just had 4 kittens. It's like a mad house here at the moment. Every time I come down stairs in the morning, a "herd" of cats comes with me. Am surprised I haven't fallen down with all those tiny litlle paws.
I would love to hear your thoughts please.
Have really loved reading through this section Grin

Hi, I love this section too Smile I'm pg with no 3, have a 2yo and 1yo! I'd class 1/2 as small, 3 as medium and then 4+ as large. I'm a dreamer of having 4, but we'll have to see how we manage with the 3 1st Smile

Hi, I don't think 3 is a large family. I have 4 (14, 8, 7 and 2). I think 1 small, 2 average, 3 to 4 medium 5+ large.

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies.
Yes I would agree - 3 is medium.
I guess it seems like more as I work with kids and am quite often cooking for 5 kids etc.
My house is always so busy, but I love the buzz of it all.
Would have loved 4 kids. Second son was stillborn, so if the sweet little one was here we would have been a family with 4 kids.
Last 2 pregnancies high risk and both delivered early so definately trying for any more.
Plus middle child is very needy in his own sweet little way.

I have 3 and think that people are having bigger families now again. I'd love 4 and don't think 3 is a big family but I'm drawn to this section anyway :)
