My daughter has just started Reception and is learning the sounds with the Jolly Phonics method. Does anyone know of a similar method to teach French sounds?
You can buy the French version of Jolly Phonics (Jolie Phonique, I kid you not!) on Amazon. Exactly same manual (although obviously the sample pictures are different) translated with input of original authors. £10? £15?
Thanks to both of you. Bonsoir, I can't open the link unfortunately.
Try here and look at Grande Section.
"Planet des alphas" (not sure of exact spelling sorry) is what my dd has at school - and she thinks they're great!
Here it is: the Amazon price is higher than I thought but other suppliers do have it for about £15 (plus postage and packing.)http://www.amazon.fr/Manuel-Phonique-Janet-Molzan/dp/1870946987/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1349959350&sr=1-3You can even get the wall chart too!http://www.amazon.fr/Frise-Phonique-Janet-Mozlan/dp/1844140768/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1349959453&sr=1-4
