I got some Royal Mail shares and want to sell them.
I want to avoid Equitini's £50 charge but want to make sure I use a reputable place to sell them.
Can anyone recommend a company they have used to sell shares and what the charges were please.

Thank you

Who are equiniti?

I use selftrade - £12.50 to sell. I imagine most execution-only brokers are a similar price. However, this needs the shares to be held in a nominee account. Are you holding a paper certificate?

Equiniti didn't charge me £50. They had an automated phone line (which was a bit cr@p, admittedly; had to try four times) that charged a special low rate of £7.50 or 0.75%, whichever was the higher. It was only open for a limited time - finished on 8 November.

Sorry, wish I'd seen your post sooner!

ours was cheaper using the online system - and that was after the 8th.....
