My hubby and I are just starting our 3rd ivf cycle (1st 2 failed) and our first cycle of short protocol. Anyone else going through the same thing? Thought I would share my symptoms / stories so far.
Currently on day 7 and off for my first scan tomorrow to see if it is working - will update as I go ;)

Shellster52 Mon 02-Sep-13 05:10:17

Hey Scoops.

You titled your thread 'Last chance'. So this is your last go at IVF? I too am about to undergo my third IVF. My body has been all out of whack since my last IVF and I keep getting cysts on my ovaries. Never happened before so I assume a side effect of IVF drugs. Today is CD one. Find out in 4 hours if my blood levels are back to normal and I start IVF this month or if it is more cycles of waiting for my body to get back to normal. I am on a knifes edge waiting.

Hopefully will be starting IVF this cycle and 6 days behind you! Would be happy to get your updates and listen to your vents to get you through this IVF round.

What has happened in your last IVFs? I did the short protocol last two rounds - not much success and am trying estrogen priming for next IVF... if my cysts ever go away!

KnackeredCow Mon 02-Sep-13 09:08:22

I just wanted to wish you both the best for your IVF treatments.

16 months ago I was in the same position.

My first IVF was in Nov / Dec 2011. It resulted in two good blastos. One was transferred, one put on ice. It ended as a biochemical.

Jan 2012 I started a frozen cycle, but our frostie failed to thaw on the day of transfer. That was really hard.

Feb 2012 we started another fresh cycle. Two good blastos, both transferred but a BFN. I also hyper stimulated.

June 2012. Third fresh cycle of IVF and it was going to be our last. Two excellent blastos transferred. Two good good ones put on ice. I'm now sitting here snuggling with and feeding my seven month old DTD. My DTS is in the cot beside me having his morning nap.

I really hope it is third time lucky for you both too. And I hope my story just goes to show that it can work even after a number of failures. Be kind to yourselves. Fertility treatment is a tough journey to be on.

Scoops76 Mon 02-Sep-13 12:04:44

Thanks both - fingers crossed shellster52 that your bloods come back ok x and your cysts have gone. I had a small cyst when we started round two but they let us carry on as so small - I think it is definitely all the hormones they pump you full of!!

So good to hear of success after so many rounds -and twins too ;) we have had 2 rounds of long protocol so far but they have now shifted us to short as the quality of my eggs was low. Both times got 2 embryos transferred on day 3 but no joy ;( just had my day 8 scan this morning and have more follicles (18) than we had on day 14 (ec day and 12 follicles) for the last two so have everything crossed that it is a good sign - do feel much more bloated than first two times so hopefully they are cooking well. Back in on weds for next scan ;)

We have been really lucky and this is our last Nhs cycle - have decided to have 2014 off trying if it doesn't work and then ork out how we are ever going to afford to try again after that - here's hoping I don't have to worry about that!

Knackeredcow- how is it having twins -as tiring as I imagine?!

Will post again when have next scan result

Scoops76 Wed 04-Sep-13 18:31:32

Well day 10 scan - 22 folliciles ;) so we are cooking on gas ;) bummer is that nurse told me this morning that I was ready to go in on Friday for ec but spoke to them this afternoon and because lots of women are ready we have been bumped to Monday - really not happy as no-one can tell me what impact waiting and extra three days will be ;( more news after ec next week

Luckystarfour Sat 07-Sep-13 06:59:50

scoops that is really bad practice and us be fuming - eggs lefts to go over clukd get too big! Also are you still injecting, If so they could risk hyper stimulation. Either was if be fuming!

To leave you until Monday too. What couldn't they collect today?

Sometimes you have to really stand your ground with these clinics!!!

Good luck xx

Scoops76 Sat 07-Sep-13 07:31:27

Thanks - the clinic don't do ec at the weekends so when they were full on Friday had to bump us til Monday! I asked about overcooking my eggs and they said because I have so many they could afford for some o be overcooked. No mention of ohss and feel ok at moment so fingers crossed - last injection tonight and then hcg injection later - wish me luck ;)

KnackeredCow Sat 07-Sep-13 07:33:40

Scoops - I won't lie. It's hard work having twins. It's definitely full on for both me and my DH. I had a complicated pregnancy too. But I wouldn't change it for the world. You do cope and you will cope. It's also satisfying to know that I won't have to go through IVF ever again unless I want a third. grin

Scoops76 Sat 07-Sep-13 15:56:05

Thanks -I have to honest I love the idea of twins ;) Especially as would love two children and don't want to have to go through ivf again! Here's hoping x

Scoops76 Sat 07-Sep-13 23:37:17

Hcg shot taken 36 hrs til ec x

KnackeredCow Sun 08-Sep-13 07:26:23

Wishing you the very best with the EC Scoops - crossing my fingers for you.

RaspberrySnowCone Sun 08-Sep-13 19:25:34

Two hrs til I take my trigger! EC on Tuesday at 830. Good luck scoops.

Scoops76 Sun 08-Sep-13 21:33:31

Good luck to you too raspberry xx is this your first ivf?

RaspberrySnowCone Sun 08-Sep-13 21:34:53

Yes, my first and only I think. The whole thing has been hugely stressful, not sure I could do it again.

Scoops76 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:54:21

Ec done 12 eggs retrieved now the long wait til tomorrow and the call to say how they did ;) raspberry - have everything crossed for you for ec tomorrow x

RaspberrySnowCone Mon 09-Sep-13 18:59:23

Well done Scoops. How did you find the EC?

Scoops76 Mon 09-Sep-13 19:55:57

Ec ok am a bit achy now but not too bad a few paracetamol and an early night for me! Good luck tomorrow x do you know how many follicles you have?

RaspberrySnowCone Mon 09-Sep-13 22:06:05

They said yesterday they were hoping for around 10 eggs. The Dr I have is a bit quiet and not very responsive so in the end I gave up questioning because she quite honestly looked embarrassed. Weird. Nevermind, as long as it gets the job done. Fingers crossed for your embies tonight scoops!

RaspberrySnowCone Tue 10-Sep-13 17:55:24

17 eggs, but I do have a bit of fluid in my uterus which they want to check on Thursday and may drain out. Apparently they will ring between 8-9 am tomorrow to advise of progress.

CoventGarden75 Tue 10-Sep-13 19:13:03

Just popping to say hi and wish you luck. We got lucky on our 3rd and last ivf, (7 weeks right now).
12 & 17 , that's amazing. the best i've managed was 8. Keep positive as much you can.

Scoops76 Tue 10-Sep-13 20:31:56

Thanks covent garden. 17 is fab raspberry great news ;) found out this morning 9 fertilised so now have everything crossed for thurs when we find out how the little peanuts are getting on. Good luck for your call tomorrow have good vibes that this is our time ;)

RaspberrySnowCone Tue 10-Sep-13 21:59:37

Well done Scoops embies, brilliant news. I've been feeling very panicky all night, not nice. Just keeping everything crossed that a couple make it through to blast.

Scoops76 Wed 11-Sep-13 08:00:32

Raspberry everything crossed for you am sure with 17 you'll get some good embryos x

RaspberrySnowCone Wed 11-Sep-13 08:17:36

Thanks Scoops. This is going to be a long morning!

When will you next know how your little guys are doing?

RaspberrySnowCone Wed 11-Sep-13 09:51:22

8 fertilised. If they are good quality they may put them back in on Friday although they are aiming for Blasts on Sunday.

Scoops76 Wed 11-Sep-13 12:03:43

8fertilised is great news!! We are waiting for a call tomorrow to tell us how many of ours are still viable and then either transfer tomorrow or sat. It is nerve racking as with our last attempts we went from 9 fertilised to only three viable on day 3 but the eggs were poorer quality so just hoping this time they hang in there!! How are you feeling after ec?

RaspberrySnowCone Wed 11-Sep-13 12:07:06

Everything crossed for you scoops. That's my next worry, that none will be viable to go back in.

Don't feel to bad, just scatty as hell. Started on the cyclogest pessaries this morning, what joy!

Scoops76 Wed 11-Sep-13 20:29:50

I know think I prefer the injections to the pesseries but all for a good cause - ;)

Scoops76 Thu 12-Sep-13 10:07:42

Well here is the scoops embryo news - 5 good quality (in cycles 1 and 2 didn't get any this good) and the rest ok but starting to fragment!! Waiting for day 5 transfer on sat whoop whoop one step closer x

RaspberrySnowCone Thu 12-Sep-13 11:25:28

Excellent news scoops! Getting very nervous to ear about mine. Back at clinic today to check if this blummin uterus fluid has gone.

Scoops76 Thu 12-Sep-13 18:56:45

Fingers crossed all ok raspberry is it tomorrow you hear about your little embryos? If so good luck cxx

RaspberrySnowCone Thu 12-Sep-13 19:20:40

Yep it's tomorrow. I can ring at 930 am smile another nerve wracking night though....

Scoops76 Fri 13-Sep-13 07:51:22

Thinking of you this morning raspberry everything crossed for lots of embryos xxxx

RaspberrySnowCone Fri 13-Sep-13 08:29:07

Thanks Scoops, trying to keep myself distracted until 9.30...... going to clean the kitchen a bit I think. I'm still massively bloated from EC on Tuesday, are you?

RaspberrySnowCone Fri 13-Sep-13 12:13:41

all 8 are growing well. Looks like we are on for Sunday.

How are you feeling about tomorrow?

Scoops76 Fri 13-Sep-13 15:19:33

Yep still bloated!! Hopefully will have a fat belly for a while ;) all 8 doing well is great news hopefully that means they will have some to freeze too. Am ok about tomorrow -irrationally worried they are going to call and say they all died ;( now just have to get ready for the fight to have two put back as apparently the Nhs won't put two back at day 5 !! They told me a consultant has to sign off on it and I said there had better be a consultant there tomorrow then!!! Never trifle with a hormonal woman on a mission!!!

RaspberrySnowCone Fri 13-Sep-13 18:26:19

I'm having the same worry Scoops, but I'm hoping that out of 8 there will be at least 1 left. You had 5 didn't you so I'm sure you will have plenty to work with. We've decided this evening to go with 1 at transfer. Having looked at and considered what the Dr said, if its a good embryo that they've managed to get to blast putting two back doesn't double your chances of any pregnancy, jut your chances of twins and realistically, health wise I don't think I could physically cope with twins!

Good luck for tomorrow! I will feel much better when I have one back on board, it feels very odd owning 8 potentially little lives and them being in a fridge in another part of the country. What time are you on tomorrow?

Scoops76 Fri 13-Sep-13 20:18:22

It is the oddest feeling isn't it? We are going with two as this is our third round and or last on Nhs and we just would never be able to afford to pay for it! And I would love twins (although no idea how I would cope if it actually happens) fingers crossed for us both xxx

RaspberrySnowCone Fri 13-Sep-13 23:42:46

It is indeed a weird feeling, I don't like it much but if it means a better chance then ill put up with it smile

We're NHS too but have been given the option which is odd, a couple of people have told me today that NHS patients only get to put one back. Perhaps my clinic haven't realised that I'm NHS. Either way we were going for one. I'm hoping we can get some frosties, ICSI is £5k plus for a fresh cycle but FET is around £1500/£2k so we could afford one or two. To be honest I don't think I could go through all this again, it's been an emotional rollercoaster that's for sure.

Twins are always said to be high risk but lots of people have them without long term issues, I think the pregnancy is probably tough but two babies is better than no babies!

KnackeredCow Sat 14-Sep-13 07:05:50

Just wanted to wish you both the very best for your ETs.

Whether the NHS will "allow" you to put more than one embryo back probably depends on the funding criteria that is set in your local area. Clinical judgment should be a consideration too. Although on your first round it might be quite prescriptive (eg a SET if blasts are achieved), after a failed round a DET is more likely to be considered. The embryologist usually wants to consider quality of blastocysts etc too.

Hope all goes well and your embies are safely on board soon. smile

Scoops76 Sat 14-Sep-13 09:58:02

Thanks both I understand why they prefer to put one back but by round three I think I am clutching at straws a bit - that and they put two back on both our other rounds - anyway had the call from the embryologist and here is the news:
1 brilliant quality blastocyst
3 have arrested
5 others almost at blastocyst one of which is further ahead than others
So embryologist has agreed we need to put the two best quality ones back now just have to have a lecture (embryologists words!!) from the consultant about the risk of multiples as consultant has to sign off as outside policy!! It is amazing to me we have so many doing well when our last two rounds the quality was rubbish - they even think we should have some to freeze (find that out tomorrow) off to drink a ridiculous amount of water and drive to the clinic - wish me luck - two week wait here I come ;)

RaspberrySnowCone Sat 14-Sep-13 14:33:31

Woo, fab news! So exciting and if two is what the Drs recommend then go for it. It's their responsibility to lecture on multiples, as long as you've taken it on board which you have then it's full steam ahead. When will your OTD be?

Scoops76 Sat 14-Sep-13 15:20:28

Well all done and two little peanuts put back ;) consultant showed me the quality one really good one definitely not as good and not the next best one - his reasoning being they have another good one which they can check tomorrow and hopefully freeze. He did also tell us that the chances of Avignon identical twins is a lot higher on day 5 transfer than day 3 or naturally - so could have triplets onboard!!! Testing date is 1st oct but very unlikely I will be able to wait that long xx raspberry good luck tomorrow . Knackered - did you have two put back for your twins?

RaspberrySnowCone Sat 14-Sep-13 16:31:17

Well done Scoops. I've actually just been reading something that says about the increased chance of identical twins with a blast! Feeling hugely anxious now, not so much about tomorrow but the tww and if it doesn't work. I know I should relax and take it as it comes but really struggling and tonight is going to be a long night!

You take it easy though and enjoy having your little fellas on board!

KnackeredCow Sat 14-Sep-13 19:20:59

So glad to hear the ET went smoothly, Scoops.

Good luck for tomorrow, Raspberry.

Yes, I had a DET. On my second fresh IVF (BFN) and my third fresh IVF (BFP x 2 grin).

In the morning of my final cycle, I had one excellent blast, one good and two not quite there. By the time I got to clinic, the two blasts were both classified as excellent so they were transferred. The other two were cultured on for another day and eventually made two good blastocysts, which have been frozen.

Non-identical twinning is about 1 in 100 IVF pregnancies as opposed to 3 in 1000 natural pregnancies.

When I had my first scan at 7wks 1 day they easily identified two embryos, but there was a shadow on the ultrasound so I had to go back at 8wks 5 days for a repeat to check it wasn't triplets. To our absolute relief, it wasn't. grin

RaspberrySnowCone Sat 14-Sep-13 19:32:30

Triplets Blimey that really would be a handful, that's more hands than you have....

Scoops76 Sat 14-Sep-13 20:44:51

Omg now triplets would really scare me!! Thanks for sharing your experience really gives me hope we will be successful this time. Raspberry - th tww is the worst bit we just have to try not to stress and hope the little boys/girls do their thing x

RaspberrySnowCone Sun 15-Sep-13 11:54:52

1 on board, really good quality, 3 good quality in the freezer and two that they are watching over night but might make it to freezer too, the doc wasn't convinced they would but I'm really pleased with the quality of the one they put in and those that are in the freezer.

We got to see ours before it went in too, didn't realise they did that, it was amazing.

Scoops76 Sun 15-Sep-13 17:57:22

Wow fantastic news raspberry fingers crossed for you x we found out okay that the rest of ours arrested overnight so no frozen ones - makes me worry about the ones they put back yesterday too (I do accept this is completely irrational ) sending sticky thoughts xx

RaspberrySnowCone Sun 15-Sep-13 18:00:03

Oh no scoops that's a shame, I'm sorry. But, the ones they put in are living in better housing than the ones that were in the fridge, I'm sure they are getting snug smile

My OTD isn't until 4 October! Ages......we will have to kill the time together...

Scoops76 Sun 15-Sep-13 19:54:57

Absolutely! Such a long time to wait - not a hope of me wating til 1st oct to do my first test!!! Found the attached thought you might find useful- now the question is how long do I hod out before I test ;) look after yourself xxx

5-Day Transfer
Days Past

Scoops76 Sun 15-Sep-13 19:57:15

Forgot to say have had cramps all day - know it can't be the little guys as far too early but definitely feels like something happening !!!

KnackeredCow Sun 15-Sep-13 22:37:13

I had a lot if cramps very early on too...

Oh and I got the faintest of faintest lines on a pg test at 4dp5dt (but obviously my HCG levels were high due to twins). I got a faint positive the following day (5dp5dt) and that was replicated with the word "pregnant" on a CB digital. The line was strong at 6dp5dt (kept testing as I couldn't believe it blush). But as I said, that was a twin pregnancy so likely to go +ve earlier.

Crossing my fingers that it works out for you both.

Oh and, I must add, I used Internet cheapies to test. And, on the advice of a friend, POAS every day from EC day until I got a -ve so I could be sure that any subsequent +ve was pregnancy related and not the trigger shot. But [ahem] I'm not admitting to that.

Scoops76 Mon 16-Sep-13 06:35:23

Thanks knackered great poas advice ;) have resisted so far but am considering testing at 4dpt !!! Not sure I will hold out much longer than that!!!

RaspberrySnowCone Mon 16-Sep-13 07:10:12

I haven't got any tests in the house, well, one tesco cheapie and the clinic test. I think I'm going to wait until 5 October, that way ill either have started my period or (hopefully) get an accurate result on the clinic test. I guess that's why they go for 18 days rather than the usual 10 maybe, to make sure everything drug wise has left your body?

Scoops that post ET stuff is very interesting! I was wondering what happened after that. DH said he couldn't believe I didn't know but I've never dared venture that far! This is all so surreal.

I went to bed at 9 last night as was knackered, big mistake, woke up at 4am from a deep sleep and have been drifting in and out of sleep since then, now it's time to get up I feel grim and even more knackered!

Scoops76 Mon 16-Sep-13 09:04:50

Raspberry - very strong of you I am far too weak have tested early every time!! At least if I get a negative I know the hcg booster has left my system!! Cramps continuing and now fel sick!! But not getting ahead of myself as a) know it I too early for the little guys to have given me sickness and b) know it is the pesseries !!! Have today off work but back tomorrow until the end of the week and then off on hols for a week o try not to thnk about it!! Are you back at work today?

Scoops76 Tue 17-Sep-13 18:48:47

3dpt -first day back a work and am knackered!!! But attempting to remain unstressed ! Caved and did poas this morning -as expected neg as farrrrr to early!!!!!

RaspberrySnowCone Tue 17-Sep-13 20:13:53

I was just wondering whether to POAS actually, more to see whether the trigger shot had gone than to expect a + or -. I'm not feeling very positive, my boobs hurt and feel a bit ick but it's way to early for that so I know it's just the drugs. I'm not supposed to test until 4 oct. can't understand why it's such a long time!

Scoops76 Tue 17-Sep-13 20:28:44

It is so hard to wait so long isn't it!! I can only think they make us wait so long to be 100% sure that the result is accurate. Some clinics get you in for a blood test instead!! But I am Nhs so they don't do that.....

RaspberrySnowCone Tue 17-Sep-13 20:47:52

We just got a test too. It works the same if you're pregnant. I POAS too and it was negative. I only did it to see if any trigger shot was left in there though really, wasn't expecting to see an actual positive. Ill leave it another week/10 days then try again I think. When's your actual OTD?

Scoops76 Tue 17-Sep-13 21:10:52

Otd 1st oct might try again next week though as if they have implanted should be positive by then ;) fingers crossed for us both - just waiting for some more symptoms to show up ......

RaspberrySnowCone Tue 17-Sep-13 21:19:28

Oh that's about the same as mine then except a few days. I might try and hold out. It's so hard though ......

Scoops76 Wed 18-Sep-13 07:26:55

New symptom - really bad headache ;(

RaspberrySnowCone Wed 18-Sep-13 18:17:17

I have nothing, not tired, no achy boobs, nowt.

Scoops76 Wed 18-Sep-13 18:42:18

I wouldnt read into having no symptoms pretty sure mine are from the progesterone as it is too early for the hcg to have been released - also got symptoms last two rounds and they didn't work - thi tww is hell isnt it ?!

RaspberrySnowCone Wed 18-Sep-13 18:45:25

I wondered whether mine might be from the cyclogest but who knows. I did have a good cry at work today which is very unlike me but I think that just been because of the stress of it all!

Goandplay Wed 18-Sep-13 18:52:33

Hi. Just read your thread - I have 3 ivf children 1 8 yo DS and bg twins 7 months.

Wanted to say good luck! X

Scoops76 Wed 18-Sep-13 21:35:08

Wow! Thanks goandplay so good to hear the positive stories - if you don't mind me asking at what point did you eat your positive?

KnackeredCow Wed 18-Sep-13 22:06:41

Scoops and Raspberry - I had no symptoms at the stage you 're both at now. Please don't worry. My first noticeable symptom kicked in at 5 weeks and 2 days. I was on annual leave and fell asleep and missed Murray getting through his Wimbledon semi-final in 2012. And then the tiredness was bone-crushing for the next 13 weeks! I can't describe anything like it. But you've both got that to look forward to grin. Oh, and no morning sickness until 6 to 7 weeks. And then it lasted until 20! But it was definitely worth it. So, please don't focus on lack of symptoms. It means nothing.

Scoops76 Thu 19-Sep-13 21:29:34

Knackercow - thank you sooo much really helps having someone who has been through this and come out the other side with a littlun ;) so hard not to obsess!

Scoops76 Fri 20-Sep-13 06:47:37

Well not good news this morning - had some spotting so might all be over for me ;( both of my previous rounds I had a bleed after 10/11 days with three day transfer and am 6dpt on 5dt so looks like same again ;( holding out a tiny bit of hope that it is just implantation bleeding xxx

KnackeredCow Fri 20-Sep-13 15:20:12

Try not to worry Scoops. Although I got a TWP at 4dp5dt (BFP 6dp5dt), I had quite a heavy bleed days 7, 8 and 9 past 5dt. They think it was either residual blood from the traumatic EC or implantation bleeding. FX it's the same for you and those blastos are sticky. Good luck!
When are you due to test / planning to test?

RaspberrySnowCone Fri 20-Sep-13 18:26:17

Scoops everything crossed for it to be implantation bleeding. Hang in there xx

Scoops76 Fri 20-Sep-13 20:15:02

Thanks ;) not due to test until 1st oct!! Has stopped trying not to hope too much that it is implantation bleeding as thought that before so even more devastating when full bleed started ;(
Raspberry hope you are doing ok x

RaspberrySnowCone Sat 21-Sep-13 15:58:35

How are you getting on today scoops?

Scoops76 Sun 22-Sep-13 01:23:59

Ok ta - tiny bit of spotting this morning but not much did poas but still neg so still not hopefully but you never know! Off on hols for a week tomorrow so looking forward to chilling out in some sunshine. How are you doing raspberry? Good I hope have everything crossed for ou xxx

RaspberrySnowCone Sun 22-Sep-13 06:04:59

I think it's to early to test, give it until next weekend at least but the spotting hasnt increased which is a good sign I expect.

I'm doing ok, bit of an emotional wreck but surviving it!

KnackeredCow Sun 22-Sep-13 07:23:31

It is still early to test so still got my FX for you, Scoops. Enjoy your holiday!

Goandplay Sun 22-Sep-13 21:16:48

Hello sorry for delay in replying. I was due to test on a Saturday and tested the Monday before.

With my first successful cycle I waited until the day I was supposed to and had the faintest line.

Also even though my third cycle resulting in the twins I didn't get a strong line on the day I was supposed to test.

It's so hard.

I'm thinking of you x

I'm hoping for good news for you too.

I'm due to start my first cycle of short protocol Ivf next month and I'm really scared. Was it bad physically? My dh is gong to be away when I start the treatment - I will be on my own for the first week. It's not likely to make me really ill apparently, but I'd still feel better hearing it from people who have been through it themselves.

Thinking of you xx

RaspberrySnowCone Tue 24-Sep-13 13:33:04

Hey scoops, how you getting on? Game over for me, I've started my period and lots of cramping/upset tummy. Completely devastated xx

Scoops76 Fri 27-Sep-13 22:04:45

Raspberry so sorry didn't work x had everything crossed for you how are you doing? Xx

Scoops76 Fri 27-Sep-13 22:06:28

All over for me too full bleed while on hols. Not sure what we do now although have been researching immune problems as might be the issue for us ;( big hugs raspberry just remember you have some frostiness so all is not lost xxx

Scoops76 Fri 27-Sep-13 22:08:19

Stillhopingstillhere the actual process isn't too bad - I think we all want it do bad we just get on with it - the wait once they put them back is the worst bit - good luck x

RaspberrySnowCone Tue 01-Oct-13 11:07:55

Oh scoops I'm so sorry sad tis shit isn't it. One week on today for me, have had a little cry and what not. Aliviated misery slightly on the weekend by putting a deposit down on a gorgeous chocolate cocker spaniel pup smile we can't face thinking about IVF again for a good while so will have out follow up appointment in November then leave it til next summer before we think about it again

Oh raspberry fab news on dog - we got a choc lab puppy after our first round who is my sanity ;) spoke to my clinic today as we ave no Nhs rounds left. They recommended to see the consultant and see if the Nhs will pay for genetic testing and/ or immunity testing - not sure how old you are but if you are over 35 they might do this for you as well - worth a check xx

I am only 30 although will be 31 in December. We haven't booked our consultation appt yet to review everything, just can't face it right now, I feel so utterly horrible.
I'm so glad we are getting puppy. He will definitely be a distraction!

Scoops and Raspberry, I am so very sorry to read your awful news. I have no words to say. It 's crushing when it fails and nothing can make it better. hmm

We have a chocolate labrador. He was such good company throughout our journey to both me and DH.

Raspberry - feel your pain xxx just take your time and reflect and then decide what to do next I am sure it will all work out - in the meantime enjoy your 'practice' with the puppy - they definitely test you in the first few months xx
Knackered- thnks had some time to reflect with our woof and I'll take a deep breath and try again after a long break x
