I've started a new thread as we ran out of space!! Hope everyone find this...

Update from me: I'm on clomid cycle 2, 50ng day 2-6. Currently day 18. Last month my day 21 bloods were 39.1 which was up from 21 without clomid....

Feeling quite positive, but think that is only as I am mid cycle!!

Hello! Just waiting for af to come and then I'm hitting up cycle 4, 100mg. Started on 50mg: nothing. Month 2: was upped to 100mg and apparently I had a 'beautiful response' - 3 follies and 21 day progesterone was at 85! But no BFP. Then month three: nothing! Bah!
Good luck on this cycle Pip! Impatient now to start my next cycle. Will update as and when that happens.

charliedrinks26 Sun 09-Jun-13 16:49:49

Baby dust everyone smile hi feather and pip smile xxxxxx

Pipdini Sun 09-Jun-13 17:23:01

Hi girls!!
Feather.... 85 is amazing!! Are they scanning you??

Charlie we are both day 18!! What was your day 21 progesterone? How long have your cycles been on clomid??

Baby dust all round xxx

maybemyrtle Sun 09-Jun-13 18:35:24

Woop! Found you all - thanks pip! smile

How's everyone doing? feather, "beautiful response" sounds brilliant, fx this month smile

Hope you're feeling better soon charlie

So I'm on clomid cycle 3, currently CD3 and starting 50mg again tonight. Will be days 3-7 this month. I'm not being monitored but I am BBT charting. I don't know how positive I'm feeling at the moment, I really want it to work but I was thinking earlier today if I could consider adoption...that sounds really negative doesn't it!! I'd never really thought about it before is all.

Anyone Clomid Crew fingers crossed that this is a good month for all of us xx flowers

Hi Pip! Yes, they've scanned me every other day from around CD7. On round 2, when I had those three follies, thy gave m the hcg injection to induce OV too. Weirdly though, on round 3, they only asked me in for one scan - on CD12 - no follies and prog test on Friday proved no OV (5!). Today is CD21 for me.

Hi Charlie! The bloating is terrible, isn't it?! Sheesh!

Baby dust to you all! smile xxxx

maybemyrtle Sun 09-Jun-13 19:01:37

Doh. Anyway not anyone....

charliedrinks26 Sun 09-Jun-13 20:07:08

Feather it really is! This is the first cycle I've noticed it !!!

Pip!! I still don't have the results from day 21 progesterone from last cycle!!! It's proving to be a right bitch getting the bloody results!!! I'm back on wed for another day 21 so I have a good mind to just turn up at fertlity clinic whilst at hospital having bloods and say " right no one need give me them over the phone, I'm here in person just give me the bloody results!!!! "Ha! My cycles have both been 29 days since starting clomid, before they were anything from 28-51 days so I'm hoping its not just pure fluke that the last 2 were the same length , I'm going on the mantra that I'm ovulating as cycles are the same length !!! If only it were the case! I fear I may never know til I'm back at fc in September ( if I'm not preggas by then!!!)

Maybe smile hey it's not negative, I spoke to dh about adoption the other day, he was like why are we even talking about it, I said we have to consider everything it's something we said we would both consider, it's so hard not to think negatively all the time good luck on this cycle Hun smile fx for you smile

Hate the start if the 2ww !!! Pip how you feeling?! What are your cycles like? Xxxx

Pipdini Mon 10-Jun-13 17:48:35

I am in a fuming mood today!! Feel like I do just before af, but think maybe it could be the hormones, though now I am totally convinced this is another nothing month. Don't even know why, only day 19 so ludicrous to think this already!! For a ridiculous reason I just think if I was pregnant I would feel something already... I guess that is stupid right?? Must just be patient!! So fed up with everyone in world being pregnant!!
Quite proud of myself though as haven't checked Facebook for over 6 weeks.... No need to see everyone else's scans and baby announcements.... Apparently you can get an app that replaces everyone's baby pictures with pictures of cheese sandwiches!! Hahaha!!
My cycle last month was 28 days -
Before clomid was about 31, so I guess we'll see this month.... Got bloods on Wednesday.
2ww is so depressing...
Right rant over.... Positive thinking!! Everything is going to be good for all of us!!!
And Charlie I would definitely demand the results in person! Refuse to leave till they give them to you!!xxxxx

Floweroct Mon 10-Jun-13 19:10:24

I had my follicle tracking scan today and all went well. I've got three large follicles so now going between stressing I could end up with triplets and then that it won't work at all! Anyone else had three or more large follicles?

Sarahb8990 Mon 10-Jun-13 20:38:35

Well iv been for my appointment with my specialist today( ended up seeing on of his sidekicks).
Was told that my next step if my final round of clomid don't work is ovarian drilling, but I can't have that unless I lose a stone. Even tho when I last saw the man himself i was told that I needed to put weight on! (I'm still at the same weight) how does this work? I'm so annoyed coz iv now gotta lose weight and have to wait at least 6 months before I can even go on the waiting list for it :-(

Pipdini Mon 10-Jun-13 20:46:05

Yay!! You found us!!
Sarah - That is crazy, what weight do they want you to be? What is your bmi? Do you mean a six month weight after you have lost weight or once you have lost weight?
Flower - 3 is super exciting!! What day are you on? Are they giving you trigger shot??

charliedrinks26 Mon 10-Jun-13 20:54:44

Pip- being on day 19 myself I'm stupidly trying to convince myself that this is the month, I've had like period pain for the last few days along with bloating!!! ( never had this so early!) I know it's probs just my body reacting to the clomid ! This is gunner be the longest 2ww ever! I know in my heart of hearts it's probably nothing but just can't stop myself from having a little day dream to myself hmm I also have bloods on wed!
I finally got through to the consultants secretary today , she was a right bitch!!! I asked if there was anyway of getting the results she said " have you phoned gp" I said yes but they haven't been given the results, she then said " as I'm sure you appreciate if everyone phoned for their results I'D never get anything done!!!!" To which I replied "well I'm sure YOU can appreciate that this is quite a stressful time for me and all I want know is the results of a blood test so I know that the tablets are working and I'm not wasting the next few months!" So cutting the story short ive gotta phone back on Friday so they can give me the results of both bloods on Friday!!!!! Finally!!!! smile
Flower haha I know what you mean I'm worried about that too! I haven't had any follie tracking so can't say I know much about it Hun sowee smile what cd you on?

charliedrinks26 Mon 10-Jun-13 21:04:26

Sorry Sarah my stupid phone didnt show your comment, oh no sad thats really crap I'm so sorry sad how come you now have to wait another 6 months? X

Sarahb8990 Mon 10-Jun-13 22:49:16

Basically I have got 6 months to lose the weight or I can't have the the op. but also once I'm on the list (they won't put me on until iv lost it) it's another 6-12 months before I can have it done!

Sarahb8990 Mon 10-Jun-13 22:53:21

Sorry pip didnt see your message. My bmi is 30 and they want it 28. He turned round to me and said ideally in the next 6 months you would get down to my weight before I had my ds which is 7.5stone! Iv told him there is no way I'm doing that as I was so ill then ( the reason I was that thin was an eating disorder) and I'm not going back to that.
Hope everyone else is ok :-)

Sarah, I think you should demand an appointment with the specialist, go in armed with questions, with your partner. His sidekick sounds like he has no idea and you're being told different things by different people, which isn't right.

Flower: 3 follies is great! I had three on my second month but no bfp unfortunately. Fingers crossed for you.

Charlie, Pip: sending baby dust your way!

On cycle day 22 now and just want af to hurry up and get here now. Keen to start cycle 4 as cycle three was so bust.

Floweroct Mon 10-Jun-13 23:10:10

I'm on cd13 today. No pip I'm not having a trigger shot so ill just have to see how it goes!

Sarah that's really rubbish about having such a wait!

Well done on getting them to agree to get your results Charlie - who'd have thought its so difficult to get your own test results!

Pipdini Tue 11-Jun-13 20:12:25

Sarah that is crazy. 30 is fine surely, and surely worse to be too thin and stressed because of that.
Feather are you staying on 100mg?? I'm going to go up next month if no bfp, my doc said if my prog was over 30 then stay at 50 mg, but I went to see zita west the other day and she said go up to 100mg.
Charlie, do you know what your prog levels were prior to clomid??

Hey pip: I asked if they were upping me to 150mg for month 4 and the nurse said no and gave me 100mg prescription sad - said that because round two worked on 100, they'd keep me on it. I may ring them tomorrow to hussle for 150mg as month three was so crappy!
How was Zita West?! Been toying with the idea of making a appointment with her. Also, Dr Zhai at the Zhai Clinic - acupuncture and herbs - she's pricey though and there's a long waiting list apparently...her pregnancy rates are really impressive though.

Pipdini Tue 11-Jun-13 20:55:36

Do ask about 150mg. My doctor said that I could go up each month if my prog wasn't over 30, but as it was 39.1 last month I didn't, but think I will regardless this month. Zita just said I should ring and check with doctor.

Zita was really positive and said that from all the tests hsg etc that I had had that it looked like I just am not ovulating as I should be and that clomid looked like it was doing what it should. She told me to take a load more supplements and insotol (I think that is what it is called), keep up my acupuncture, and when I go back to doc at end of July if nothing has happened I should push for super ovulation, not just another clomid prescription. I mean she kind of told me what I already knew and charged me £200 for the privilege !! But quite pleased I went, I felt reassured I was on the right path!

So difficult to know what to do, it's such a lack of power over something... I guess we just have to find out and be as knowledgable as we can to keep some control smile

charliedrinks26 Tue 11-Jun-13 21:14:08

Pip no I don't know what my prog levels were before, I had loads of blood tests through gp and she told me I ovulated fine, then I got to the fc and he interpreted the tests as I didn't and that's when he told me I had pcos - this is what I have never understood, he said I don't ovulate ever on my own but I don't know how he can say that through the bloods I had ( I had one every week for a whole cycle, which was 5 weeks) I had internal ultrasound and he said there were no cysts on ovaries which is good and hsg was fine ( I'm no medical expert I know and I know he knows a damn sight more than me) I just don't know how he can say I don't ovulate ever from one set of bloods! So now I've been on this ttc journey a little longer abd getting know more about the "science" of things ie what tests are for what , what levels should be etc I'm armed with loads of questions when/if I go back in September! Wish id known more about clomid and tests before I'd have had loads more questions one bring what was the prog test result before clomid! Being on here I've learnt So much from just asking you all ! smile

Fx flower smile
Sarah def phone them up about the 150mg there's no harm in asking smile

By 'super ovulation' did she mean injectables?

Yes, know what you mean about trying to retain some degree of control that's totally out of our control, but we'll get there in he end hopefully!

Hope everyone is well. Heard about yet another mate who's now pregnant today, and although I am happy for her, I have to say, I felt so irrationally jealous. Know it's ridiculous but couldn't help it. sad

charliedrinks26 Tue 11-Jun-13 21:15:32

Pip btw any twinges/symptoms? I'm majorly symptom Spotting <clutching at straws> !!!! Xxxx

Hey All smile
I am currently cd 18. I agree that this damn 2ww is giving me an anxiety attack haha shock going to the vampires on sat for cd21 tests. Ahh! Im am feeling so positive/hopeful but so nervous at the same time. I have had weird feeling in my lower belly.. sometimes twinges, sometimes little aches and bloating, so I dont know if this is just symptoms of clomid (coz this is my first cycle on tabs) or WHAT?! We had good time with bd grin as I got positive ov test on cd13
All my fertility tests have great results & dh counts are fab.. so why havent I been able to fall for over 3 years. I really hope this works. I am not being monitored, just cd21 bloods.. I really wanna know what is going on!! hehe

What does follie tracking do?

Ideas? Suggestions appreciated wink

Baby dust to everyone

Pipdini Wed 12-Jun-13 08:51:58

Feather - Yes I do mean injectables by super ovulation. I can't bear to hear other people's pregnancy announcements. Really happy for them but I just have to keep myself separated as I know it would upset me!! You know I just want to go back to normal when I don't feel resentful of people's good news!

Charlie I'm trying really hard not to symptom spot as for first year that is all I did and was never pregnant so really trying not to think about it.... Though saying that I actually don't think I have any. My temp is up but that is all I have, off for bloods in a minute!

Let's - Follicle tracking just scans you to see how many follicles are maturing, as usually there would only be one, but clomid is supposed to boost this... I know what you mean - why hasn't it happened!!!

JustWant1 Thu 13-Jun-13 17:51:40

Hi everyone
Hope you don't mind if I join in!
Feeling crappy so reading all ur positive comments is keeping my spirits up!
I'm literally at the beginning of the journey, got pco, my thyroid slightly high, had a HSG done on Tuesday which hurt like a bitch but I don't even care as I just want a BFP so bad! Next step is for me to have an ultrasound to view my ovaries and then hopefully start on clomid.
Do any of you guys have any tips to what I should look out for or pesture my doctor for? My doc said that conceiving with a thyroid issue is dangerous but failed to explain why, anyone else have thyroid as well as pco?
I've not had a period since March so feeling overly crap as we can't even really try in the mean time. My last day 21 bloods showed I didn't ovulate but the HSG showed no blockages so I guess that's good. I hate feeling so down about friends who just get preg without even trying but I just want it so much too.
Baby dust to all x

charliedrinks26 Thu 13-Jun-13 18:43:14

Hi just smile sorry your feeling down its such a crappy journey but i find having others to talk/ask advice/vent its so helpful smile so welcome smile

Eurgh the hsg is horrible !!! I'm not a usually a wuss but I cried when I had mine done it was horrible! So good you be got it out the way and good news on it all being fine smile I can't offer any advice on thyroid as its not something I've got, but hopefully if you dr puts you on clomid you might start have

charliedrinks26 Thu 13-Jun-13 18:49:14

Argh stupid phone posted early!

Start ovulating and having a more regular period hopefully clomid will do that for you smile when's your app?

I'm on 3rd cycle of clomid I have pcos but have a period every month just always different lengths, clomid is regulating that for me, both cycles have been 29 days so far! Hoping for bfp this month but not too hopeful? Get my day 21 blood results tomo to find out if I'm ovulating - nervous but fingers massively crossed smile

How's everyone else! I'm off away for a long weekend with Dh and sister bro in law, niece and another couple then off to see robbie Williams in Manchester next week so lots of things to take my mind off everything and the dreaded 2ww!

Baby dust to all xxxxxsmilesmilesmile

JustWant1 Thu 13-Jun-13 22:25:01

Thanks for replying.
I'm still waiting for my appointment for my scan, I really hope it's not far away as this is the last thing I need doing until I get an appointment with the doctor for treatment. I don't think I can handle waiting anymore! Good luck for tomorrow!! Hope it goes really well for u x

Pipdini Sun 16-Jun-13 11:20:01

Hi just! Welcome. It's really difficult this isn't it? It just seems time is going past and past and everyone else is getting what we want so easily.
Exactly what Charlie says, at least clomid will hopefully regulate your cycles and hopefully get that bfp.

Charlie - have you had your results of dat 21?? I got mine and this month they were 46.3 (39.1 last month, first month of clomid, 21 previous month before starting clomid) seems to be moving in right direction, though I am now day 25 and don't think I'm going to get a bfp this month, but hoping that at least if af comes on day 28 as it did last month I can get going again and going to ask to go to 100mg. How are you feeling?? Any symptoms??

nicnic246 Mon 17-Jun-13 16:15:11

Hi all hope you don't mind another one joining in I'm sort of new on here although I did start coming on here 3 yrs ago when I was really down in the dumps on clomid and on 2 ww only to find I was pregnant with ds! But here I am coming towards the end of 2ww on my first lot of clomid 50mg this time round driving myself crazy! Good luck to all you ladies I know how negative you can feel first time round when your not sure it will ever work but stay positive and always try to have a back up plan. Do any of you live near kent as we use an affordable private health care that has been amazing for us it's called beneden heatlh care. They use to be just for people who worked for civil services but now I think anyone can go its worth looking up because there fertility clinic has been brilliant. They also take you on if you already have been diagnosed which alot of private health dont. im sure kent isn't there only hospital thinking about it so have a look. Baby dust to you all

charliedrinks26 Mon 17-Jun-13 18:24:22

Hi all been away all weekend with no Signal on phone!!!!

Didn't get my sodding results they where supposed to call me back on Friday - but never did !!! confusedconfusedconfusedconfusedconfusedconfused Bloody hospital ill phone again tomo!!!!

Pip they're great results grin going in the right direction! I'm also not do hopeful tbh! But that's just years of bfn's! I've had bloating and cramps since (I think) I ovulated but its probs just clomid! Sore bbs for last few days but again not usual for me! And today I was watching a programme on tv (which wasn't that sad) and started uncontrollably crying!- which again is nothing out of the ordinary probs just af symptoms! But suppose we're both not out til she arrives smile fx'dgrin

Nic- welcome how's the 2ww been? Are you feeling positive?

Just want - I know his you feel but unfortunately this journey is all about waiting! Keep us posted! I've had internal ultra sound it's nothing to worry about at all grin

I feel pretty crap today tbh, off to see robbie Williams tomo and I don't Even want to go at the minute just wanna stay in bed all day sad hate feeling like this- my ex-best friend's little girl was one this weekend so had to endure a barrage of updates and photos on Facebook which doesn't help!

Sorry for moaning!!! Hope everyone's ok? baby dust to all xxxxxxxx

Sarahb8990 Mon 17-Jun-13 20:39:04

Hi all, welcome newbies!!!

Well I managed to speak to my specialist about everything and he is now agreing that i have to wait upto 6 months before i can go on the waiting list but i also got him to give me one last round of clomid - as I only had 5 and was ment to have 6- while I lose weight for my ovarian drilling op.
not hopeful it will work but at least it's something. I'm also going to see robbie Williams tomorrow and I think it will be a good distraction for me.

Hope everyone is ok.

ck11 Mon 17-Jun-13 22:34:37

Hi I'm new to this site, just looking for advice , we have been tttc baby no 2 for 2 years, my son is 7 I got pregnant on the first month of trying for him , but no luck this time! I've been started on clomid 100mg this will be my third cycle, I have no follow up at all, I was just given 6 month supply and sent away, is this normal practice? Also which days is everyone taking it, I was told to take it day 2-6 but my cycle is 32 days long and so far that hasn't changed, would I be better taking it later? Any ideas would be appreciated smile

Hello all,

Just checking in. Had to disappear for a bit as was feeling very down after several friends announced their pregnancies. I just went into my shell (although am super happy for my friends). This has been he longest month ever! On cd30 now and still no af - not even getting pre-cramps although I'm much moodier than usual :-/ hmm...guess I just have to wait till af shows up to start round 4.

Ck11- I take mine days 2-6 too - a lot if women do. I'd just follow what your doc has suggested but maybe ask for monitoring - I just don't think clomid should be used without monitoring because I've read about lots of cases of OHS.

Sarah - great news you've been given one more round!

Charlie, pip - hope you're both well!

Baby dust dust dust dust to all

tryingforsolong Wed 19-Jun-13 11:26:35

Hi everyone, I'm hoping you can help put me out of my misery. In your experience, have you found that Clomid messes with your cycle?

I'm usually 27 days but now on 28 and no sign of AF. This is my first cycle on 50mg.

I'm not being monitored, GP just prescribed it for 3 months, first month on 50mg, 2nd on 100mg and 3rd on 150mg to see what happens!

maybemyrtle Wed 19-Jun-13 11:33:19

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've not posted for ages. Just like feathers posted above, I've been feeling really fed up and didn't want to bring the thread down. So much positivity here grin

How was Robbie, charlie? Hope you had fun.

ck That does sound unusual - have you queried it? At least first month should be tracked (bloods and ultrasound). I get my prescription on a month by month basis. I'm on 50 - not sure my dr would trust me not to up my dose if she gave me 6 mths at once!! I'd be tempted...

So, I'm currently CD13, no idea if I took the clomid at the right time this month though - my "period" was 16 days of verrrrry light flow - no more than spotting really - and dark brown/black with clots. Over the 16 days I had 3 red spots so no clue when was CD1 to be honest! Feeling a bit frustrated about that - it's easy to work out when CD1 is when everything's working normally, but I'm on clomid because it's not working normally!! Urgh. Anyway.

Hope everyone's doing well & here's hoping for some BFPs on this thread this month smile xx

maybemyrtle Wed 19-Jun-13 11:34:59

Trying yes - it's extended my cycle every month by 5-7 days. Good luck smile

tryingforsolong Wed 19-Jun-13 13:41:36

thanks maybe I was really hopeful yesterday then realised the Clomid is probably causing a change in my cycle.

No news is good news though eh?!

How long do you think I should wait before I can get my hopes up again hmm

maybemyrtle Wed 19-Jun-13 14:33:14

Oh god, trying - sorry! Yes of course that could be good news, fingers firmly crossed for you smile See how you feel and what happens over the coming week or so. I really hope it's good news for you flowers

mazzie40 Wed 19-Jun-13 16:27:14

Hi ladies. Glad I found you smile. Hope your all well and hope we all get our bfp's soon!. I have no idea what cd I'm on as last cycle I had 5 days of brown spotting and 11 days of normal af flow. I stopped bleeding on the 31st of May. The fc have put me on 100mg next cycle if I don't get my bfp. I also can't believe how much weight I've pot on, thats 1 of the side effects so I read, so I' m wondering what the 100mg is gonna do lol. I'm praying I won't need it smile. Time will tell smile. Good luck ladies, and plenty of baby dust for us all!. X

Pipdini Wed 19-Jun-13 17:56:39

Hi everyone and welcome!! Clomid definitely does different things to people's cycles... Mine have gone to 28 days.... So I think af is iminent, but quite excited to just get going again as going to 100mg. Going to be really positive this month.... I say this every month!!

Charlie, I am still appalled they haven't given you your results. Are you 'shouting' loud enough??

Mazzie, good to see you back... I mean of course would be way better if you were pregnant, but you know what I mean!!

trying are you going to test?? You should!

Feather, maybe... I'm not even really sure if I'm happy for my friends that are pregnant! I mean of course I am and hope everything goes well, but I really don't need to hear anything about it!! Is that really bad....?!

Baby dust all round xxxxx

Pip: Lol, I know what you mean. I just feel really put out about it all at he moment. Most recent friend that announced it was all like "we weren't even trying! I was on the pill!" - which really upset me because it made me think, "what he hell is wrong with me?!?" - and then I felt SO guilty about the problem being me and wondering whether my boyfriend should be with someone more fertile (he's been broody since we met 9 years ago) - basically, I've turned a bit nutty in the last week.

Ah, anyway - sorry for soiling this lovely thread with a moan and negativity! Won't happen again. Promise.

Charlie: you should have a massive go at hem about your results - ridiculous!

Maybe: my af has gone weird too. Was 4 days only last month. Clomid, I'm convinced, messes with it.

Trying: you should deffo test soon!

And Mazzie: I've put on loads too sad

Here's to BFPs all round and SOON!

charliedrinks26 Thu 20-Jun-13 07:46:23

Hi all smile sorry been away for 5 days so not been in much , I've not had chance to read everyone's posts yet so will do tonight after work just hoping everyone's ok!grin

I'm posting as I'm on day 28 (of 2 previous 29 day cycles) I've had period type cramps since I think I ov'd only few and far between but also been mega bloated aswell since, sore bbs now do sure af is on her way- but poas addict no hpts so did opk last night abd this morning both positive abd massively positive aswell I've never had such a dark line the line this morning is darker than control line!!!! WTF!!!! I have no hpts until tonight?! Is it poss to get lh surge before af?!!!! Arggghhh why did I do that!!! ????? I know i should t have done it but heyho!!!! Advice mucly needed !!!!! Xxxxx

tryingforsolong Thu 20-Jun-13 08:40:46

Still no sign for me but I am so bloated. It's not good. I feel terrible with it sad

I'm going to wait until Saturday I think. I can't get to the shops before then anyway, or believe me, I would have tested this morning!

I've also put some weight on, which I didn't realise could be a side effect of the constant pigging Clomid.

I really hope it's good news for you all soon

maybemyrtle Thu 20-Jun-13 09:53:34

Feather, re broody DP and thinking he'd be better with someone else, omg YES. I know that feeling. sad

Charlie don't know anything about opks but I'm confused too! Hope someone else can make sense of it. confused

Quick question for everyone: I have definitely gained weight since starting clomid and noticed others here saying that too. Is weight gain a known side effect of clomid, or does the clomid affect hormones and make me eat like a pig cause bloating? Not sure if I can blame the clomid or my gluttony!!

Have a good day everyone xx

charliedrinks26 Thu 20-Jun-13 10:36:46

Maybe I was on slimming world before stating clomid but stopped ( not sure why) when started clomid and I've packed it on!!!! I find I am eating like a pig!!!! Ha!!! Xxxx

charliedrinks26 Thu 20-Jun-13 17:05:06

Omg I just got a bfp!!!! On two preg tests!!!! different tests!!!!!!

mazzie40 Thu 20-Jun-13 17:26:38

charliedrinks26 Thu 20-Jun-13 18:22:14

Thank you so much , I still can't believe it!!!! I used two different tests and the lines came up straightaway infact the one that required more of the hormone is darker than the early one!

I'm gunner stay here for a while if that's ok as its so early daren't jump ship!
Massive thank you to you all I really appreciate your support over last few months grin , I never thought if get to this point I was convinced we would have to have Ivf! Can't quite take this in!!! Xxxxxx

Tracey18 Thu 20-Jun-13 22:07:31

Hi everyone... Just googled clomid success and found this thread... Very helpful and gret to hear about success stories in the old ones too!!
I've bn trying for 18months and hormone leve,s very low at 1!! :-( consultant has gave me 50mg clomid to take but to go for a SCAN on day 12... Do u all have this too? I have to take on cd 2-6 but partner works away 2wks on and off and period has come and my 14th day will fall when he's away....will my OV day be day 14? I'm totally confused and so frustrated :-( any help or advice greatly appreciated xxxx

Tracey18 Thu 20-Jun-13 22:10:03

Congratulations Charlie!!! It's reassuring knowing a success!! X

mazzie40 Sat 22-Jun-13 16:04:09

Hi ladies. Hope your all well smile. I'm thinking, maybe I'm about cd26, 27, bit still not sure coz of the crazy cycle last month. If I don't get af by next Thursday, I'll test then smile. Have a good weekend and sending lots of baby dust to us allsmile. X

Floweroct Mon 24-Jun-13 17:14:50

Ah Charlie congrats! That's fab news there doesn't seem to have been many bfps on here, hopefully it'll be the start if many smile

maybemyrtle Mon 24-Jun-13 18:05:35

Hi all, hope everyone's doing ok?

Tracey I seem to O 5-6 days after my last Clomid pill. If you know you won't be able to be with your DH CDs9-18, I'd wonder if it's worth taking it this month. Have you asked your consultant for advice? Hopefully someone can give better advice than I can smile

I'm CD18, 6dpo and trying really really hard not to get carried away because I KNOW it's too early but I've had some weird pulling feelings all day, and yesterday felt like I'd pulled a muscle in my lower stomach (I don't think I had!). I really don't think I can be from dates, know...hope springs eternal blush

Good luck to everyone xx

tryingforsolong Tue 25-Jun-13 12:35:08

Congratulations Charlie grin. We need lots of success stories!

First month of 50mg Clomid has increased my cycle by 3 days. I always thought I had short luteal phase anyway, so I'm hoping its sorted that out!

I'm on second month 100mg... serious hot flushes at night this time.

After the disappointment and a few glasses of wine, we are raring to go again, hopefully, this will be the month hmm

charliedrinks26 Tue 25-Jun-13 17:46:34

Thanks so much smile

How's everyone doing? Xxxx

I'm on second day of pills, cycle 4. Feeling perky so far! It's day three of af and after yesterday's deluge, it seems very light today - almost like its going to stop. Has anyone found that their period is much shorter on clomid?

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine. Charlie: have you told any of your friends/family the good news yet or waiting for the 12 week scan?

charliedrinks26 Wed 26-Jun-13 10:24:26

Hey feather my period went from being a week long to 3 days very light aswell! So it definately shorted my af!

We've told our parents, my sister, and my 2 best friends ( so enough ppl!!!) I'm dying to tell everyone but so early yet! Got midwife appointment but not til 22nd July!!!

Sammy13x Thu 27-Jun-13 16:08:40

Hi all I'm new to this site. I'm on day 24 on my 1st cycle of clomid 50mg. Had bloods on Monday no result yet. Is it normal to have really sore boobs and cramping at this time? Hope someone can reassure me!!!

charliedrinks26 Fri 28-Jun-13 14:43:32

Hey sammy smile how long are your cycles normally? I got sore boobs right after ovulation for 4-5 days and cramping for about 1 week leading upto af with clomid! Think the site bbs is something to do with progesterone after ov smile do you know when you ov'd? Xxxxx

Sammy13x Sun 30-Jun-13 21:29:33

Hi Charlie I think I ov on day 14. Due on Tuesday then start clomid again on weds if on time. I do feel like I'm coming on tho plus I got me monthly spots lol. mazzie40 Sun 30-Jun-13 22:28:29

Hi ladies smile. She got me!. I'm on cd2, and I will start on 100mg tomorrow. I forgot to ask at the fc, do I take 2 pills at the same time or what?. Can you help me please smile. Hope everyone is well and had a good weekend smile. Baby dust for us all smile. X

Hi Mazzie: yep, take two pills at the same time. Wishing you success this cycle!

I'm on CD9 today and went in for my first scan this morning. I have two 9mm follicles on my right ovary. Have to go back or another scan on Wednesday to see if either have grown. Does anyone know if 9mm on CD9 is any good? Hoping I don't have another bust month.

Howis everyone else doing? Hope all well and baby dust to all, as usual! Xx

charliedrinks26 Mon 01-Jul-13 20:10:14

Sammy I know that feeling!! After nearly 2 months the hospital finally rang today to give my results of day 21 bloods...... Bit late now!!! Got them anyway and may was 58 and June 79 so obviously it worked she said anything over 30 is good indication ov occurred! So I told her I was pregnant! Still might have to see consultant again though she said wait til 1st midwife app and can discuss !

Mazzie I'm sorry she got you but at least you can start the 100mg smile I was on that abd took 2 pills at same time smile fx'd for you Hun smile

Feather I never had follow te

charliedrinks26 Mon 01-Jul-13 20:11:51

Stupid phone!! Follie tracking! But got my fx'd it's good news when you go back smile

Sammy13x Mon 01-Jul-13 20:46:06

Its that time of the month again... Clomid tomorrow :-( Charlie did u feel any different the month u got bfp? Cuz I always know af coming a week early. Plus they ain't monitoring me or anything. Just a review in another 6month's. Dead pleased for u tho. It's nice to hear success stories. Can't believe how stressful all this is and they tell u not to think about it when everything is timed lol x x

charliedrinks26 Tue 02-Jul-13 11:15:08

Aw sorry she got you sad another month though new start smile

I was really bloated and had pain from the day I think I ov'd and I had some weird pains really low and to the side and I felt quite sicky for a few days I really thought af was coming and the only reason I poas was cos I'm addicted to poas!!! Best laugh aswell we only dtd once around ov !!! Xxxxx

Sammy13x Tue 02-Jul-13 15:32:27

Well it was a false alarm... Just had 2 days where I've had a tiny bit of blood so can't class as af yet. I know she's coming though! Bet ur wel pleased it worked. How many cycles did u have? They given me 6 months on 50mg for unexplained fertility. Hope ur well x x x

charliedrinks26 Tue 02-Jul-13 18:32:49

I got 4 months of 100mg then he wanted to see me again if nothing after four months then would maybe up the dose if nothing and would of given me another 2 months but I fell on cycle 3 smile got fingers crossed its not af Hun your not out til she arrives!!! Pipdini Tue 02-Jul-13 21:41:47

Hey everyone.... Hope you are all feeling ok!

Sammy, what day are you on??
Feather- what month are you on now?? Are you having progesterone 21 done as well??
Mazzie I'm on 100mg this month for first time.... See if it makes a difference!!
Charlie, your progesterone is really good, makes me think that even though mine was over 30 it was still quite low.... Do you know what is 'normal'?? How are you feeling, just so relieved I bet!!

Baby dust all round xxxx

maybemyrtle Tue 02-Jul-13 21:53:14

Hi everyone, hope everyone's well?

Charlie lovely to see you still posting here! How are you feeling?

I'm CD26 and starting spotting last week. 2 neg tests so I don't think this month's for me sad I spoke to my GP and as she's given me 3 months of 50 with no joy, next step is a lap&dye - has anyone had this? I told her that I'm not convinced I've ovulated this month, so I've had 2 blood tests on CD22 and CD25 to check prog levels. IF I didn't ov I go to 100mg. I'm really hoping I didn't, I'm scared of the lap & dye sad Find out on Thursday.

Feeling down today. Feel so annoyed that you're told for years that "there's no safe time" and how you have to be really careful because it's so easy to get pregnant...and it's not that easy at all!!!

Pip! Hope you're well. This is my fourth clomid cycle - third one on 100mg. Yep re progesterone - had great response on first round on 100mg - prog was at 85! Then last month, nothing - it was at 3. sad
Can't sleep as anxious about the scan in the morning. Grrr! Where are you at right now Pip?

Maybemyrtle! It's not over till af shows! I have everything crossed for you. Lap & dye not so bad btw. Bit weird, but over quickly.

Hope everyone is doing ok. xxx

maybemyrtle Wed 03-Jul-13 10:31:31

Ladies, I got a faint line this morning! shock I posted pics because I don't really believe it shock and more shock. There's no way I'm getting any work done this morning, ha.

Testing again tomorrow with a posh clearblue digital one.

Wanted to share with you because I've been whinging and negative about everything - so finally a happy post from me!! grin grin grin

pip : hey yeah releived but still a bit anxious just want the next 6 week to fly by so i can get scanned and then i feel ok and maybe relax! ha! i dont know what "normal" but my consultant said anything over 30 means it occurred but ive read lots of different opinions on it really some drs have said less and some more so i would go with if it was over 30 your in witha good chance smile

feather how was the scan???

hope you dont mind me still posting on here ladies, ive just found this is such a supportive thread not quite ready to leave just yet smile

OMG Maybe!! That definitely looks like a line to me! Congratulations! Such ace news!! grin

Charlie - it's great having you here! I don't want either of you to go as its inspiring to be in contact with people who have been through what I have and have gone on to get pregnant! You're proof that clomid works and an incredible support. thanks

Went for second scan today and the one follie on my right ovary has grown from 9mm on Monday to 13mm today - CD11. Not sure if that's good but it feels positive and I have to go back on Friday for another scan. Hoping it'll miraculously get to 18mm so they give me the trigger shot before the weekend. smile

Maybe: again, so happy for you! Yay!

maybemyrtle Wed 03-Jul-13 17:45:48

Thanks so much!! grin I couldn't be more excited - I had really given up thinking it would ever happen smile Have just done a digital one and the word "pregnant" made me cry/hyperventilate a little bit all over again. blush

Charlie how are you feeling? Any sickness yet?

Feather, hope your scan goes ok on Friday, those measurements sound positive to me too smile Fingers firmly crossed!

Baby dust to all xx

charliedrinks26 Wed 03-Jul-13 19:05:08

Floweroct Thu 04-Jul-13 18:46:37

Ah congrats! We're having a good run of bfps let's hope we get some more!

Cd6 for me so last tablet today and then keeping fingers crossed! It would have been my due date of I hadn't mc so it would be great to get some good news this month! Your scan sounds positive feather so fingers crossed for you,

Well, had my scan this morning and that follie grew to 18mm! They gave me the injection so we'll be getting busy this weekend! ;) thanks everyone for the crossed fingers and well wishes. Have to go in next Friday to make sure I O'd. Here's hoping!! Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine!

Sammy13x Fri 05-Jul-13 09:31:32

Omg there is sooo much positivity on here. Congrats to you aswel maybe that's brilliant! I on CD3 of my second cycle now and still not had my blood results back so I'm hoping they didn't wante to increase my dose! Did Any of u ask to have your scans cuz I've not been offered anything like that. No bloods or anything now til December! Baby dust to all x

Sammy - I didn't need to ask to be monitored but I definitely think you should as there is a chance with clomid, that your ovaries can over stimulate and that could be dangerous. If I were you, I'd call the clinic and ask to be monitored. It's just bad practice if they don't. You may have to be quite pushy with them! xx

mazzie40 Fri 05-Jul-13 11:01:48

Hi ladies smile. I'm on cd7 and took my last pills this morning smile. It's great to see lots of positivitysmile. All the best to us all and lots more baby dust smile. X

Sammy13x Fri 05-Jul-13 14:35:31

Hi feather. I've tried ringing gynae today but I've gotta wait until Tuesday for them to ring me back. My GP gave me my day21 results which was 43 on 50mg.... Is that good or bad as they won't tell me because they didn't start me on the treatment. It's all confusing. X x x

Sammy, 43 sounds like you ovulated! I'm no expert, but pretty sure that's the case! Really do push for ultrasounds when you talk to the gynae on Tuesday. Maybe even mention if you're having any twinging pains etc - basically, give them a reason to feel like that HAVE to scan you. In the meantime, chill and enjoy the sun! wink

I'm convinced this is a lucky thread - so many BFPs in quite a short space of time! Hopefully the rest of us will be next! Planning on treating myself to a lovely glass of wine tonight! grin xx

How's everybody doing? Well, I hope. Anyone in the midst of the dreaded 2ww? I'm a few days in and starting to feel sad that it hasn't worked. Irrational, I know.

mazzie40 Wed 10-Jul-13 19:17:12

Hi Feather. I'm on cd12, don't think I've Ov yet, been having slight crampy bloated feeling since cd7, but today slightly more. It's early in the 2ww for you Feather so fingers crossed for you smile. X.

How's everybody doing? Well, I hope. Anyone in the midst of the dreaded 2ww? I'm a few days in and starting to feel sad that it hasn't worked. Irrational, I know.

Oops! Weird double post from my phone. Sorry! Mazzie, are you doing OV tests at home? Fingers crossed for you this month. X

Sarahb8990 Wed 10-Jul-13 21:01:36

I'm in the 2ww due on Saturday according to fertility friend. Even having clomid hasn't settled my cycles anythin from 28-37 days!! This is my last round so I'm hopin it works but not holding out much as the last 5 didn't.
How is everyone? Hope your all ok x

Pipdini Wed 10-Jul-13 21:45:33

I'm now on day 20, going for bloods tomorrow. I know it's weird isn't it that just a few days in you can get down, but kind of know this is ridiculous.
Sarah, any symptoms??
Mazzie, what does are you on this month??
Feather, what day are you on?? What monitoring are you doing??
Charlie, maybe... How are you two doing??? Everything going well I hope xxxx

Sarah - you never know! Hope this is your month!

Pip - I'm CD18 - got the hcg trigger last Friday, so ovulated over the weekend. Used opks and got positives right through till Monday. Going for bloods this Friday, which will be CD20. Nervous! Do you get your blood results fast-ish? Last two months I've called in the afternoon and they miraculously had them.

Did anyone hav OV pain? I had one follicle and didn't seem to have any pains this month - the odd twinge but nothing major.

Hope you're all well! We CAN do this! Just want 10 days to hurry up and pass!!

mazzie40 Thu 11-Jul-13 09:03:08

Good morning ladies smile. Feather, I haven't used opk's this cycle, but was thinking of getting some today. Pip, I'm on 100mg, first time. I woke up early hours this morning with a bad cramp, only for a few mins and ok now but ouch it hurt. Hopefully it was my egg popping smile. Have a lovely day ladies and lets keep the baby dust coming our way smile. X.

tryingforsolong Thu 11-Jul-13 11:46:30

hi everyone, just a quick check-in because I've ordered myself not to obsess this month.

I'm on my second month of Clomid, 100mg and today is CD21.

The first month (on 50mg) extended my cycle from 27 to 30 days so if I go by that AF is due around 20th July 2013.

I'm not being monitored - my GP has prescribed the Clomid - but I definitely felt ov pains around CD 15/16. I've had extreme bloating and lots of wind again, really uncomfortable but it seems to have passed today! grin

I'm hoping a more relaxed approach, plenty of sunshine and a few glasses of wine will help this month.

Good luck xx

maybemyrtle Thu 11-Jul-13 14:51:05

Hi ladies smile

Sorry for not posting sooner - I felt a bit off topic... Everything going ok here, although trying not to get too excited yet, such early days.

Glad you're all doing well. I know this won't help with the symptom spotting but I can honestly say that I knew something was different at about 5 dpo. Oh and those cheap internet super-sensitive preg tests are rubbish! I was still getting negs with them but a positive with an asda one, boots one and clearblue one (yes I triple checked!!).

Take care and baby dust to all xx

Florin Thu 11-Jul-13 15:17:38

Hi can I join you?
We have a just turned year old ds who was conceived with clomid. Did one month on 50mg then 2nd month I had 100mg and got pregnant-seeing that line appear after a nearly 2 year wait was amazing.
We now want to have a second I have been off the pill a couple of months now and I think this month I am going to take Clomid as I have 3 cycles of 100mg in the cupboard so tempted to just go for it as really don't want to have to pay to go to specialist again. Feeling nervous as not quite sure I am ready to join the emotional roller coaster of ttc again, I found it so hard last time but we really want another baby.

Morning! Just been for my blood test - results on Monday apparently. Not holding out much hope this month, although trying to stay positive! Another week, another three pregnancy announcements, including my sister in law! Happy for them all, but I seem to be the only one in my group of friends/family having this much trouble getting preg!

Pip - hope your blood test went well! When do you get your results?

Mazzie - did you get any opk's in the end?

Trying - relaxed approach sounds very wise. Going to try and take a leaf out of you book but finding it hard.

Flor - of course you can join us! Not sure how to advise you as I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to self-medicating. Always the risk of OHSS. Maybe talk to your gp and see if they'll keep an eye on you if you do decide to?

Maybe - good to hear all going well! Exciting!

Baby dust to all xxx

Also, Sarah - have everything crossed for you this month! As everyone says: not over till pesky af shows! x

mazzie40 Fri 12-Jul-13 12:58:53

Welcome Florin smile. I didn't manage to get to town to buy any opk's yesterday. I have been going by my cp but still a beginner on that 1 smile. Last night I kept getting like little shooting pain down low in my left side, same today also, I have not had this before, so I don't know?. I will be going for my cd21 blood test next Friday the 19th so I'm hoping to Ov today or maybe I've already Ov'd? smile. I really should've got some opk's lol. This 100mg is surely affecting me more than the 50mg. All the best ladies and lots of baby dust smile. X

Pipdini Fri 12-Jul-13 16:30:06

Got my results already from day 21, this time they are 50.1 so they keep getting higher. I was hoping they'd be higher being on 100mg, but lady on phone seemed to think they were high!!
Happy weekend to everyone... All try to relax in the sun... Zita west told me vitamin d very important to getting pregnant so enjoy!!!xxx

mazzie40 Fri 12-Jul-13 18:08:59

Thats great results Pip smile. FX for you this month smile. X.

Sarahb8990 Sat 13-Jul-13 07:54:57

Hey everyone
Iv just tested this morning and iv got a very faint BFP! I can't believe it, will be going out and gettin some more tests lol. Hope everyone is ok! X

Oh, wow Sarah - congrats! So happy for you.

Apip - congrats on the great results.

Off to bask in the sun now. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. X

Sarahb8990 Sat 13-Jul-13 16:31:26

We are havin a run a BFP's it will be everyone else's turn soon :-) x

bouncingbelle Sat 13-Jul-13 19:40:45

Hi this is day 10 of my second cycle of clomid. First cycle, I had terrible headaches during the days I was taking the tablets, then bloating and nausea for the rest of the month. Day 12 showed one big follicle, but no BFp. This month, I,ve had no symptoms at all so far and worried this means the tablets haven,t worked! I,ve been going for accupuncture this month and have a day 12 scan on Monday so I guess I,ll find out then. Keeping fingers crossed! X

tryingforsolong Mon 15-Jul-13 12:33:10

Hi, fab news Sarah! Congratulations!

I have made the most of the sunshine this weekend, hopefully it'll do the trick!

2nd month for me too bouncing I was advised to take my clomid at night to reduce side effects and so far, apart from horrendous bloating it's been ok.

Today is CD25. I have had quite sore sensitive nipples but its hopefully because the clomid has boosted my progesterone grin. Usual cycle is 27-28 days, but last month was 30 so I'm hoping its time for another BFP on Saturday.

We can but hope!

Hi all,
Just got my results for my 21 day prog test. I ovulated! 35.5, I think she said, not as high as before (85!) but I'm happy that clomid did its job this month. Nurse said to test in a week. Of course, I was impatient and did a hpt and got a bfn, but I'm aware it's too early. No symptoms except for - basal temp is between 36.3-36.9 for the last five days, weird pregnancy dreams and waking up at 5.30am every morning (I usually sleep through my 7.30 alarm)
Trying, Pip and Bouncing - fingers crossed for you! Baby dust to all! xxx

Floweroct Mon 15-Jul-13 20:14:51

Floweroct Wed 17-Jul-13 19:02:06

Congrats lets!

I had scan last week inly one 14mm follicle plus a big cyst as well as thin uterus lining so a really successful visit sad

I'm on cd19 now and think I have positive today although I did a digi one today and that wasn't so hopefully that'll show positive tmrw, I was given progyniva for lining so not sure if that's confused the digi one.

Lets hope that bfps continue smile

Sarahb8990 Wed 17-Jul-13 19:08:21

Congrats let's. iv got an early scan on Friday as iv been havin loads of pains. Hope it's nothin. Will be happy to see it on the screen aswell instead of just a pos test. Hope everyone is ok and lots of baby dust to you all

Congrats Let's! Flower, fingers crossed for you! Sarah, hope scan goes well!

I'm CD23-24 now. Not sure what's going on. This 2ww draaaags! Got very tender lower belly feeling as well as bloating. Weird dreams and waking up super early. Don't want to get my hopes up though!

Baby dust to all!

Floweroct Thu 18-Jul-13 21:44:49

Got a positive on cd20 today with my digi. Is this a bit late to be able to go on and get a bfp? So the 2ww begins!

Af arrived this morning. Absolutely gutted. CD28. Pah. sad

Sarahb8990 Sat 20-Jul-13 20:59:33

Well I went for my scan yesterday and they can't be sure that everythin is ok :-( I had to have blood test and another one tomorrow to see how it's progressing as its that early on the can't see anythin. Luckily I will know Monday.

It's been quiet on here past couple of days. How is everyone? Any news?

Sammy13x Sun 21-Jul-13 13:35:58

Aah Sarah I know it's hard but try not to worry too much. These professionals never seem to know anything these days do they. I'm on cd19 of my 2nd cycle of clomid..... The dreaded 2ww but I know af is coming as boobs are super sore already and my monthly spots have arrived lol. Hope ur ok.

How's every1 else doing? Anyone in the 2ww?

Sarahb8990 Sun 21-Jul-13 13:49:14

Yeh I know they are useless lol. Was ment to go for a bloo test again today but got stuck in traffic jam on motor way for 35mins. So they had to change it to tomorrow at my hospital which is better for me anyway just have to wait till tues for results. Aw sorry to hear that sammy but your no out till af arrives. I had nothing different to normal when I had my bfp other than a but of spottin on the day a was due.

Sammy13x Sun 21-Jul-13 13:54:25

Aar bless u, at least u should know more when you get your results. It just seems like the specialists are always on a go slow! Did u have sore boobs and stuff at this stage then? I've felt really poorly on clomid and I can't see my gynae till the end of next month! He wants me to stop taking it in the meantime but I don't want to lose out cuz I've ovulated quite well on it. How many cycles did it take u for your bfp? Fingers crossed all is well for u and bump x x

Sarahb8990 Sun 21-Jul-13 14:11:58

Yeh I had sore boobs (mainly nipples tho) it took me 6 cycles- caught on my last round but I dnt think I ovulated every cycle as I wasn't monitored at all and can normally tell when I ov. Thank you and good luck with ttc :-)

Sammy13x Sun 21-Jul-13 14:18:43

I'm not being monitored either... Just get a prescription then they leave u to it! Only had day 21 bloods for the 1st month and nothing from now on. I always feel ovulation cramps. It's my nipples that are sore not my actual breasts. It's all so frustrating x x

mazzie40 Mon 22-Jul-13 14:28:18

Hi ladies. Sorry af got you Feather. Fx for you next cycle hun. X. Sarah. Hope all is well with you hun. X. I'm on cd24. I have had quite bad heartburn the last 3 days, had it all day aswell so far, which I've not had any other cycle, I very rarely get it, maybe another side effect of Clomid?. I'm due af on the 30th, so will see smile. My boobs are slightly tender, woke up at 2.30am on cd20 with heavy feeling and cramping in my lower stomache for about 2hrs. But nothing really since. How is everyone else?.x

Sammy13x Mon 22-Jul-13 16:08:59

Hi mazzie. I'm on cd20 and I'm also having heartburn and sicky feelings this month which I never usually get.... I wondered if it was a side effect too. Nipples r ever so sore too but I do get that when I'm due on aswel as cramps and spots. It's all trial and error lol x x

bouncingbelle Tue 23-Jul-13 01:14:21

Can I say hi? I'm on day 19 of second cycle of clomid, one follicle been produced each time, due a blood test on Wednesday to see if I ovulated....I think? First month I had terrible headaches, felt really ick, heartburn etc but this month haven't really had anything, except feeling full and bloated.

Hope it's a good month or people - love to hear the positive stories!!! smile

Sarahb8990 Tue 23-Jul-13 10:58:17

I got my blood test results today and they have tripled instead of doubling! They are now thinkin that I could have multiples which is why I have been havin loads of pain! Well I will find out in 2 weeks time when I have another scan.
How is everyone else doin?

Sammy13x Tue 23-Jul-13 13:57:54

Sarah that sounds really positive! Why can't they scan sooner though? Did they say anything else then?

Hi bouncingbelle. R u making the most of ur treatment so far? It's horrid not knowing what's round the corner init. We're both in our 2ww then so fingers crossed. My sicky feeling has gone off now but I feel like af is on its way x x

bouncingbelle Tue 23-Jul-13 14:22:31

Today is not a good day. Its only day 20 but I'm already convinced this cycle hasn't worked sad I'm actually scared of the disappointment next week - how does everyone else cope? I feel pathetic not being able to deal with it after only 2 cycles (tho 5 years of TTC) somehow the disappointment just seems worse on clomid (tho maybe its the hormones!) Just v v down sad

bouncingbelle Tue 23-Jul-13 14:26:31

Hi sammy - my partner works away so we don't get to make the most of all the fertile days - tho we did manage to give it a go on days 12, 13 and 14 this month smile I,ve had accupuncture this monthas well. When are you due to test??! smile

Sarahb8990 Tue 23-Jul-13 17:14:37

Hi sammy they can't unless its an emergency eg I start bleeding. But least I don't have to wait till I'm 12 weeks. Nah they didn't say anythin else just iv gotta wait lol

Floweroct Tue 23-Jul-13 20:59:55

Ooh Sarah exciting!

Bouncing it is so difficult isn't it! Before I went on clomid I had irregular cycles so I never knew what was going on when really and whilst that was frustrating it helped with the patience of not knowing when I'm in 2ww. Since being on clomid I feel like I'm living in one week blocks. I guess I just try not to get too expectant but it is hard. Af due a week on Friday so early 2ww at the mo!

Sammy13x Tue 23-Jul-13 21:47:33

Hi bouncing. I'm due my period on the 31st and I already have the signs of it coming... Spots, sore boobs, and cramps. I feel exactly how u do... I don't seem to be able to think positive and dread the 2ww. That's why I like these threads when u hear the success stories its reassuring and holds out some hope. My hubby and I have been trying for 4 years and have unexplained infertility. Chin up and carry on lol x

bouncingbelle Thu 25-Jul-13 23:50:46

Well I got the results of my day 21 test today - 36.7 which means I ovulated! I'm pleased but it seems like others have much much higher results on clomid - has anyone had a BFp from a progesterone result like this?

Floweroct Sat 27-Jul-13 10:36:30

That's good bouncing, I'm afraid I can't help in the figures as I've never had a blood test but I'm sure someone could help on here!

I'm 8dpo and so desperate to poas! I'm really not feeling very positive but soooo want my bfp!

Toffeecat123 Sat 27-Jul-13 13:08:48

hi everyone I'm new to mumsnet. I have been reading your post and I am also on clomid. I have had 6 rounds of clomid and has not work but still hoping.
I seem to have low ovarian , so now I'm on the list to have ovarian drilling and to see if my fallopian tube are block. Has anyone had this?

bouncingbelle Sat 27-Jul-13 15:46:58

Well that's me had a bit of spotting so looks like round 2 has failed. Got visitors arriving shortly so guess I need to go plaster on a smile and pretend my hearts not breaking confused

Floweroct Sat 27-Jul-13 19:25:14

Bouncing could it be implantation? When I got my bfp last year I had some spotting and so assumed it was af, it still hadn't appeared four days later so tested and got bfp so it may not be over for you yet x

Sarahb8990 Sat 27-Jul-13 19:30:50

Same here when I got my bfp this month I had spotting later the same afternoon. Supposedly it is very common for people on clomid to have implantation bleeding.

bouncingbelle Sun 28-Jul-13 00:02:10

Oooooh ooh .... So there might still be hope! smile

Sammy13x Sun 28-Jul-13 20:47:57

I'm on CD25 and have had a small amount of like Brown discharge today but nothing when I wipe.... Af not due til weds/Thursday though but I got period cramps. I hope clomid hasn't altered my cycle. Has anyone else had this problem? X

bouncingbelle Sun 28-Jul-13 22:59:32

Sammy that's exactly what I got on day 25! It's got even lighter today (day 26) so no idea what's going on!

Sammy13x Mon 29-Jul-13 09:54:21

I've had nothing today bouncing. It was literally just once when I went to the loo. I still feel period coming. How r u today? X

Sammy13x Mon 29-Jul-13 15:08:54

Also I tested this morning and got a bfn so I know af is defo on its way. Here's hoping cycle 3 will bring a bfp. Af expected weds/Thursday.

bouncingbelle Mon 29-Jul-13 22:08:10

I'm still getting the v v light brown spotting when I wipe, but this happened a few days before my period on my last clomid cycle as well. I'm charting my temperature and it dropped to 36.1 today, so looks like af will be tomorrow for me hmm

Sammy13x Tue 30-Jul-13 07:59:53

Hi bouncing. Af got me today.... Of all the days when I've got an interview at 9.30! Typical. Oh well it's clomid again tomorrow 3rd cycle. Hope afstays away for u. I'm on a day early too x

Sammy13x Tue 30-Jul-13 08:00:20

Hi bouncing. Af got me today.... Of all the days when I've got an interview at 9.30! Typical. Oh well it's clomid again tomorrow 3rd cycle. Hope afstays away for u. I'm on a day early too x

mazzie40 Tue 30-Jul-13 10:29:01

Hi ladies. Af got me too, yesterday. It's really heavy also. I'll be starting the Clomid tomorrow morning. Sorry to hear af got you Sammy. Hope you get your bfp bouncing. How'z everyone doing?. X

Hi everyone,
Good luck on this cycle Mazzie and Sammy. Bouncing, hope you get you bfp this month. I have everything crossed for you all.

I'm gutted. Went for my CD11 scan and I have no follicles this month. I'm so sad and disappointed as it's cycle 5. Have decided to take a break from ttc in August and the clinic has agreed to up me to 150mg from 100mg in September and October. I also have an appointment with the gynae on October 15 to discuss options if those two cycles don't work. Either iui or get on the waiting list for ivf. I'm scared, and very upset. Sitting at work trying not to cry at the moment. I dunno.

Anyway, hope you're all well and chins are all up. We'll all get there in the end.

mazzie40 Tue 30-Jul-13 16:29:48

Hi Feather. Don't worry love, in God willing, you will get your bfp soon. You hear of so many ppl getting their bfp's on later cycles of Clomid. You have to stay positive hun. Sending you a big feel better (hug). And praying we all get our bfp's soon. Xx

Floweroct Tue 30-Jul-13 20:57:38

Sounds like everyone's having a bad day, af got me today too three days early! I'm not supposed to take clomid this month as I had to have a biopsy after an abnormal smear so supposed to wait for the results of that but I'm in two minds.

Here's hoping that we all get our bfps soon x

Lottystar Wed 31-Jul-13 00:35:06

Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining this thread. I've just started taking Clomid and on cd10, I had to take 50mg from day 2-6 after Provera induced a bleed. I have not bled naturally since last August. I have been diagnosed PCOS and my cycle can literally be non-existent. I did a opk this morning and I got the flashing smiley face which indicated high fertility, I did it 12 hours later and again the smiley face. However, I just did it before I went to bed (probably a bit obsessive!) and it was negative. I'm a tad confused as (a) I thought cd 10 was quite early for an LH surge and (b) how can it be over that quickly without a peak result? Any advice? Could it be my wee was too diluted as it was not after a sleep? confused

Pipdini Wed 31-Jul-13 16:48:26

Hi everyone, and welcome newbies.

Lotty, I think that if you have the clear blue digitals once you get the smiley face you shouldn't do it again as it has a memory and it is actually measuring any increase in your lh levels, so after the initial surge it won't show smiley again. Though day ten does seem early.. How are they monitoring you?

Feather, I went to specialist on Saturday and he referred me for ivf, after only 3 months on clomid. I was really surprised. He said I was unexplained infertility so go straight to ivf. In some ways I'm pleased, but some ways I kind of just want this to happen without getting to that point... And I only get one go on nhs through my primary care trust.... Ugh!!

Mazzie, what month are you on now, are they suggesting any alternatives?

How are all the bfp coming along?

I am on day 14, and on holiday next week for two weeks so doctor gave me more clomid to tide me over till my referral comes through, he seemed to think it would be pretty quick though, so fingers crossed!

Sammy13x Wed 31-Jul-13 21:21:49

Hi ladies. Hope you're all well. It's quite strange how it seems like we all got af at the same time lol! Mine has been awful this time and I've had time off work cuz I can't control the flow! I started my 3rd cycle today and have been a bit naughty and increased my dose by 25mg! So I'll be taking 75mg instead of 50 this month as it could be my last chance. Has anyone else done this before? Good luck to everyone x

Lottystar Wed 31-Jul-13 21:33:31

Hi Pipdini, thanks and best of luck with your ivf referral, it sounds positive that your Dr is so proactive. I'm not really being monitored at the moment, my fertility nurse said that I would not release lots of eggs on 50mg (so no real risk of triplets or quads) and they want to wait and see if my cycle picks up naturally after the first dose as I have not bleed naturally since last August. Then next month they will do my bloods. Thus this month I kinda feel it's the great unknown and the treatment I'm having seems different to what I have read of some others hmm

bouncingbelle Thu 01-Aug-13 17:59:41

Hi all, I'm totally confused! I had spotting sat-mon and really though this cycle had failed. But then it stopped so last night got a pregnancy test (boots own make) and got a very faint positive. Repeated it this morning and got the same. Got a digital one at lunchtime and it came up as 'pregnant' right away. But when I had a test in the dr,s this afternoon, it was negative!!!! I can't cope with this tension!!!,

Floweroct Thu 01-Aug-13 21:51:40

Bouncing how exciting! Strange about the neg one at the drs but it does sound like good news what did the dr say?

bouncingbelle Fri 02-Aug-13 07:56:51

Dr was horrible but the digital test I did first thing this morning definitely says positive!!! smile

Sarahb8990 Sat 03-Aug-13 22:49:12

Bouncing, i had the same and my doc was like that, treated me like I was lying! I went out and asked for a new appointment with a diff doc and told them he was being an ass and they got me in the same afternoon with a dif doc and she said that coz I have a positive at home they didnt need to retest and got me booked in for an early scan! I'd ask to be seen by some1 else if you can :-) and congratulations :-)

Congratulations Bouncing! That's brill news! Naww.

I needed to go AWOL for a bit as last week rocked me after the whole 'Clomid round 5 no follicles' thing. I'm going away for three weeks in a few days time and I'm looking forward to not obsessing over ttc. I'm exhausted, drained, sad and in need of a break from the pills and my own head. When I stared clomid in Feb, I just assumed it would work and that I'd be pregnant by now. It's taken me a while to come round to the idea that my path probably won't be that simple. So, I'm having August off clomid and then two more months of it at 150mg. Then, I'll look into other options such as iui or the dreaded (in my head, anyway) IVF.

I do think that this struggle will make us all better parents, you know? I'd imagine when you've wanted something so much for so long, you appreciate it much more than if it were handed to you straight away. Doesn't make it easier but it's a thought.

Flower, hope your biopsy comes up all clear. Mazzie and Pip - thanks for you kind words of support. And wishing you both, and everyone else on here all the best and swift bfps, whichever way we all have to get them. flowers

mazzie40 Tue 06-Aug-13 11:31:22

Thank you Feather, have a lovely time away smile. X. Congrats Bouncing, all the best for you hun smile. I'm on cd9. I took 100mg on CD 3, 4 and 5 and then I forgot to take it on cd6, so only took 3 days. I'm abit gutted but believe everything happens for a reason, it wa meant to be, just gotta wait n see. I really need to get to town today n get some opk's. Praying for us all ladies. Lots of baby dust!!. Xx.

Roxabell Tue 06-Aug-13 18:18:10

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

mazzie40 Sun 11-Aug-13 09:37:58

Hi ladies. How'z everyone?. It's quiet here.... I'm on CD14. I've had + opk's from cd12 and also this morning smile. This is my 4th round of Clomid and second round of 100mg but as I said I only took 3 days. I forgot to take the others as I was fasting for Ramadan and was taking the pills at 3am and didn't manage to wake up lol. I'm praying we all have the best news this cycle smile. Sending lots of baby dust our way smile. X

Floweroct Sun 11-Aug-13 16:44:28

Hi I'm cd13 still waiting for +ve opk but haven't taken clomid this month as I need to wait for my biopsy results. Good news though is dh sa came back normal so that's one less thing to worry about. Hopefully my biopsy results will come through shortly so I can start round 5 next month! Good luck for 2ww mazzie smile

mazzie40 Mon 12-Aug-13 22:07:55

Thank you Flower. Praying all is ok with your biopsy results hun. X

Sammy13x Tue 13-Aug-13 12:22:56

Hi ladies hope everyone is ok. Im finding things difficult this month and starting to feel negative about clomid working for me. I have also been told by employer that I cant work whilst im taking the clomid as I am a danger to others! So im now stressed with having no income whislt im ovulating . It would be nice to have some positives this month! I go back to gynae on the 22nd so this could be my last cycle before looking into ivf. Baby dust to all x

Sarahb8990 Wed 14-Aug-13 08:11:40

Sammy your employer is talking aload of crap about it being a danger to others! If I was you I'd talk to HR or got to citizens advice as they can't stop you from working just because you are ovulating. That would be like telling all other women not to come in when they are ovulating.
Hope you get it sorted out and a bfp soon

mazzie40 Wed 14-Aug-13 09:53:06

Hi Sammy. I agree with Sarah. What on earth is your employer thinking. All the best hun, hope you get your bfp soon smile. Babydust to all smile. X

Sammy13x Wed 14-Aug-13 14:19:08

Well my employer apparently does have the right according to my gp as I have been very stroppy at work and sometimes go dizzy and therefore I cant do my job of looking after people properly. They have signed me off for 2weeks and im back at gynae in the meantime. Talk about kicking people when theyre down! Oh well these things r sent to try us x

Sammy13x Tue 20-Aug-13 10:37:41

Hows everyone doing? Im on cd22 and defo know af is coming the same as every month with the achy boobs, spots and cramps. Got gynae on thursday so ill know my options then regarding ivf. Hope everyone is well x

mazzie40 Tue 20-Aug-13 12:52:46

Hi ladies. Hope everyone's ok smile. Sammy.... Your only on CD22, & your not out till af arrives. I'm on cd23. I'm around 9dpo. The only difference this month to any other month is that my boobs are abit sore, they arn't normally sore at this time in my cycle, & for the last 3 days I've been feeling sick in the evenings, but as we know, the Clomid can do that, so we'll just wait n see smile. I was thinking of doing a frer in a few days but then I change my mind lol. I keep saying to myself. I do it every month & all that money just to get a bfn, no I'll just wait lol. X

Sammy13x Wed 21-Aug-13 13:19:05

Mazzie I know what u mean with trying not to test and things lol.... we just cant help it. Im not testing this month and im sticking to it. Clomid has altered my cycle length aswel so im not 28 days no more.... last month I was 3 days early. Its all confusing. What r u on now? X

Sammy13x Wed 21-Aug-13 13:20:23

Was meant to say what cycle r u on now lol x

mazzie40 Wed 21-Aug-13 16:43:55

I'm on round 4 now, bit only took 3 days of Clomid. Me mm hubby have been ttc for nearly 3 years on n off, but have been trying more in the last 5 or 6 months smile. How long have you been ttc?. X

Sammy13x Wed 21-Aug-13 18:07:06

We been trying for 4 years now.... surgery and investigations inbetween with no joy. Im unexplained infertility. Im on my 3rd round of clomid but goin to c gynae tomorrow as I want to ask about iui and why im not bein monitored. R u only on clomid and do u get monitored? Iv only had 1 blood test since we started. Its all horrible cuz I feel it will never happen and that if it was goin to then it would happen before now x

mazzie40 Wed 21-Aug-13 18:39:50

Mine is also unexplained. Had lots of tests & the fc say, just keep trying. I was thinking of asking about iui. I know what you mean about trying so long. Even tho I haven't had a bfp yet, I find it does get easier when I see bfn, but I'm not one for giving up lol. I'm due my af or bfp on the 27th if it's a 30 day cycle, my cycles never over 32 days, so could be the 29th smile. I keep saying to myself, should I not get a bfp this month, do I take a break from Clomid for 1 month, I dunno lol. X

Sammy13x Wed 21-Aug-13 20:44:02

My head is all over the place with it all.the thing is I always know im coming on a couple of days after ovulation so I guess il always think negative as I dont know if ill still get the same feelings if I was pregnant. I just feel like they gave me the pills to keep me quiet a bit. I still believe there is something wrong that they havent picked up on so I might even ask of they will do another laparoscopy. Ive been told so many different things about my bits and pieces like one minute ive got endometriosis then I havent. Then I was told they had removed a cyst and then told it was drained. And THEN when I had my 2nd lap they said I had 2 cysts and that 1 was removed and the other only drained because of where it was. Sorry for the long post im just frustrated and dont know what to believe x

mazzie40 Wed 21-Aug-13 21:37:24

Don't worry about the post hun. I was told my tubes were fine, then they said my left 1 was blocked & now they say it isn't. I had an ectopic pregnancy just over 3 years ago. The pregnancy wasn't in the tube but near to my left tube, they say I may have some scarring. So I'm not sure what to think?. I pray we get our bfp's soon smile. I always seem to know 6 days before my af, that I feel it's on way, but we do hear off alot of women when they get thier bfp, they had the same symptoms as af symptoms smile. I''m praying for us. All & sending lots of baby dust smile. X

Sammy13x Thu 22-Aug-13 20:48:43

Hi ladies just an update from me. Went to gynae today and has been told my only option is ivf. Were goin to give it a try but I dont know how I feel about doing the egg share scheme as im not sure if it will reduce my chances. I feel ever so low today and have done nothing but cry. Not sure what to do x

mazzie40 Fri 23-Aug-13 22:26:02

Hi ladies. Hope your ok Sammy, you'll be ok hun. You will get your bfp soon hun. Please keep us posted. (hugs). X. Baby dust for all!. X.

Sammy13x Thu 29-Aug-13 15:48:39

Thankyou mazzie. My referral for ivf has been sent today. Fingers crossed it will start soon as im also guna be starting a new job in around 4 weeks. Talk about everything happening at once lol. Hows everyone doing? Its quiet on here atm x

Floweroct Thu 29-Aug-13 22:22:52

That's good news sammy, will keep my fingers crossed!

Got my biopsy results back today and I don't have to have any treatment yet just another check up in six months so get to start clomid again next month smile

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Sammy13x Fri 30-Aug-13 09:55:21

Aah thats good about your results flower. Fingers crossed for u. Im still taking clomid thos month and mybe next month if ivf hasnt started. Im on clomid cycle 4 now.... not really trying this month so after the tablets im not planning on doin any opks or timing intercourse. Just see what happens without the pressure. Good luck x

mazzie40 Fri 30-Aug-13 16:21:45

Hi ladies smile. Good news for you Sammy, Fx for you. Great news on your results Flower.... Af got me. I'm on cd3, I'm not taking Clomid this month, am having a rest smile. I will be using opk's so just wait n see smile. How'z everyone doing?. X
