PCOS ladies - care to join me?

Hi ladies,
There are a few LTTTC groups on here but I was wondering if there are any other ladies going through this with PCOS who fancy sharing the pain, frustrations (and hopefully eventually) joy of their TTC journey.
I'm 31 and have been TTC since June. Zero periods in that time. I few years ago I TTCed for over two years with no periods, and Metformin which had zero effect for me.
Off to have bloods done tomorrow and internal scan in 3 weeks and will hopefully then get my referral. It's frustrating as I went through all this 5 years ago with my ex and was diagnosed with PCOS but they are making me start from scratch with all the tests again!

Hi iamchanging - I also have PCOS - essentially been TTC for what feels like forever - we started relaxed just off contraception because we knew I have PCOS and now we are starting the infertility process!

I've had my bloods done and waiting for DH to have a sperm analysis - the wait for that appointment is 6 weeks alone! So frustrating!

Wishing you luck with your TTC journey xx

Hi Liza,
It's so frustrating isn't it! It was a two month wait for my DHs sperm. I then took it to my doctors (he is at a different practice) and they then said that they didn't need it and wouldn't take it from me! Fast forward another month and when I chased up what is happening with the referral they said it was on hold as they hadn't had his sperm results!!! Angry Not impressed!!

The referral process is a nightmare! I think I get a scan after my referral? I hope they have sorted your husbands SA sample out!

The thought of waiting so many more weeks for another appointment is so frustrating! I'm sure it's not too technical a test either! Hoping we don't have to wait too long for the second sample appointment either!

I feel like I went to theGP ages ago and I'm no further forward! Mr Lozza was feeling the same although he's now worried about his part!

I do wonder what it would be like to just get pregnant without all these investigations!

After years of ttc they told me last month that I have pcos & that it's likely I've had it for decades considering all the menstrual related complaints I've had. Been put on clomid and metformin which I can't start until my next period starts.

good luck Fleur! I hope the clomid and metformin work for you! I can't wait to even get to that stage! Being actually pregnant feels like ages away!

Same here. To be honest I'm relieved that our infertility is no longer unexplained, but this brings with it a new set of problems.
