FET Nov/Dec

I'm due to do a natural cycle FET next cycle, transferring around the last week of November. Booked in for an endometrial scratch in 2 weeks, which I've not tried before. It will be our 4th attempt this year for a sibling for DD who will be 3 in January. Our most recent failed cycle was a medicated FET last month.

Anyone else going through a FET around the same time?

Hi bear. I'm not doing FET (never got any frosties from first 2 cycles) but I'm doing a fresh cycle with transfer mid November. I'm also doing an endometrial scratch this Friday for the first time. So I can let you know how that goes if you'd like?

Hi Blue, yes please do - I'm intrigued by it and really hope it makes a difference this time. I don't hold out a lot of hope for our blast as it's a bit delayed and might not even defrost but worth a go before plunging into another fresh cycle. Good luck with the scratch!

Hi Bear, I'm doing a medicated FET and starting buserelin injections tomorrow. Transfer also end of November.

We have a DD who is two next month, she was from our first IVF cycle - we got hugely lucky there :-) As well as getting our lovely DD we also had 11 frosties. We had a FET in July/August which we got a BFP from but sadly it failed after a week. Straight back on the horse though!

What does a natural cycle involve? more scans I'd imagine to pinpoint the right time to implant?

Hi Moggle - wow 11 frosties! That is unbelievable. Do you mind me asking how old you are?

Our DD was a first time success too. We were so incredibly lucky and we didn't even realise at the time! Going into our 4th cycle of the year, it feels like it will never end and it brings it home even more what a miracle DD is. Sorry about your failed cycle.

They are going to scan me at regular intervals to check the lining and I track ovulation using OPKs. Then they just stick the embryo back in 5 days after ovulation. I'm happy to be going drug free for once, this year has taken its toll with weight gain and mood swings etc. I'm hoping to feel more like myself, then if I need to go in for another ICSI cycle my body will have less to recover from.

I was 33.5 when we did the fresh cycle. We were unexplained infertility - DH was at top end of every sperm related range so they assumed it was a problem at my end, but I have a regular cycle, positive OPK every month, hormone levels all fine, tubes clear, AMH a little low but nothing too out of the ordinary - my follicle count was 13 prior to the cycle but they retrieved 19 eggs (my god I was really sore after that, had to have a week off work!). So our inability to conceive anywhere other than in a Petri dish remains a bit of a mystery.
Started jabs this week, nearly forgot on the first day! DH is away this week so I've got about ten alarms going off every evening to remind me to do it. Last time I didn't get many side effects from the drugs, just tired and a bit headachey. Drug free cycle appeals though especially if it's quicker! 6 weeks til pregnancy test, I'm so impatient.

Bear I had the endometrial scratch yesterday and I found the speculum more painful than the actual procedure so it's fine really. It all took about 15 mins so pretty quick really. Good luck to you and Moggle on the FETs.
