Explaining progesterone levels?

Hi all,
Please could someone explain what this means...
I have a probable 35 day cycle... Cycle day 23 I had a progesterone level of 14 and day 28 my level was 23.1. What does this actually mean?!

Hi autumn, I was told a score of over 16 means you've ovulated. Progesterone levels go up and down throughout your cycle but need to be above 16 about a week after you've ovulated to show that it's happened.

Thank you very much for your reply. I've been stressing! Google was telling me that if they used one measurement I wouldn't have ovulated but a different measurement would have meant I did ovulate. Why would my GP have said that the number to aim for was 40?

I'm not sure really. I recently had a progesterone test and called last week to get my results and I was told they were happy with anything over 16 and my score was 74.

I wonder if you call and ask for clarity they would clear up your worry? Xxx

Thank you, I will if I can get over calling the terrifying receptionist!
