If you have used regular ovulation kits with no luck then this will not make any difference. Do not waste your money on such kits.

Have you sought medical advice and if so what has happened to date?.

What tests have both of you had done to date particularly as you have now been ttc for three years?. It is likely that one or equally both of you are contributing to the subfertility. You both need up to date test results from a hospital's subfertility unit and these will prove far more useful to have than a saliva ovulation test.

Hi thanks, we both have had tests done. I have pcos thats the only issue. But ive dropped from 16.5 stones to 10 stones and my gp dosent think this will still be an issue. I have always had periods and always ovulated(according to my bloods) but its hard to pinpoint when. The ovulation tests i bought were the clear blue ones where it costs like £15 for the strips each month..so i only used for 2months and apart from that ive used regular shop ovulation kits but they have never really worked properly. Thanks for your advice

Have you ever tried the cheap OPKs you can get from Amazon or eBay? You can get 50 of them for a few quid. You can get false LH spikes with PCOS though which can make it difficult (I also have PCOS).
I had a quick look for saliva microscopes on eBay (that is what you mean right?) and found one for £13.99

Congrats on the weight loss btw, very impressive, especially with PCOS! Have you had an further investigations since you've lost weight? Have you been referred to a fertility specialist?

Hi 😊 ahh il have a look on ebay thanks! Ive mentioned to my gp about my pcos and my weight loss and if they could check whether i still have as many cysts as before? But they keep fobbing me off ..and dont actually send me for a scan to check. I think unless you have pain they recreluctant to send you. So i went in last week and said i had pains again (i lied) they did me some swabs first..so now they are obviously clear they are sending me for a scan woo hoo! Ive not been referred yet because we wanted to give this year as a chance for us to do it by ourselves and chill and just enjoy it and if it dosent happen this year we will be seeking help. Does that make sense? 😅

That makes sense! See if they'll do blood tests as well as the scan though as there aren't always cysts with PCOS but there can still be a hormone imbalance.
