How long after your coordination appointment did your treatment begin? (long protocol)

Hello!
I'm just wondering how long after your co-ordination appointment did your treatment begin? I'm doing day 21 long protocol. When I have my co-ordination appointment I will be on day 12 does that mean I can start Buserelin on this cycle day 21 or will I have to wait for the next cycle?

My OH is traveling a lot for work over the next few months so I'm getting my self in to a bit of a flap about the timings!

Hi LemonadeGirl, You should be able to start the same month if there is enough time to order the medication (which the nurse will do at your appt, and then you arrange for its delivery). I was delayed 1 cycle because of this ridiculous reason, esp as the medication only took 3 days to get here. I do suspect that there were too many ppl cycling in Jan for me to join the tribe.

My clinic had told me to arrange the coordination appointment with the nurse as soon as I started my period and had implied that I needed to see her asap, I think I ended up seeing her on around 10. Soooo after a longwinded way of explaining that, I think you would probably start on day 21 in the same month. I had to take norethisterone (progesterone only pill) for a week from day 19. I guess all LP's are slightly different.

I have found this process more helpful by taking 1 day at a time as things can change, you might not be suppressed on buserelin as soon as hoped so things can stretch out a bit but once you start at least you are in the process. Good luck!!

Hi Everhopeful thanks for the advice. I guess I need to just take it as it comes instead of trying to plan everything out!

Good luck with the rest of your cycle!
