Hi waiting, no it's the third. 1st dd2 , 2nd chemical pregnancy and this is our third attempt. We have one in the freezer too Wink

How far are you ?

waitingimpatient · 10/02/2016 21:19

I had mild IVF last April but was high risk for ohss due to PCOS and couldn't have a transfer
Was meant to do a FeT in August but my thyroid level was wrong and couldn't go ahead

Had FET in October with a top grade day 3 embryo but it didn't work :(

I have 2xday2 embryos frozen so will hopefully be doing a natural FET cycle this month. I'm day 2 of my cycle and have first scan next week

Ah fingers crossed waiting ! It's such a roller coaster isn't it? And so bloody intrusive! No dignity on that bed!

What's 'mild' IVF ?

Report
waitingimpatient · 10/02/2016 21:27

Less drugs for shorter duration usually 5-9 days of just stimms and cetrotide but although I had a low dose I still overstimulated and needed 14 days ! Has to freeze all embryos . Mild IVF is meant to be better for pcos patients

The unexpected wait due to thyroid levels was hard too i have to keep getting it checked as it doesn't want to behave !

Thanks waiting for starting the new thread!

How are you doing - when is your next appt?

Cleen good luck with transfer!

AFM, My third beta test showed hCG levels rising nicely, so now it’s just another nailbiting 2ww till my scan, which is scheduled for 7+1. Eek! X

waitingimpatient · 11/02/2016 10:01

Hi banana glad things are progressing well! Another 2ww that must seem ages away but I'm sure the time will pass quickly you must be very excited !

My appt for first scan is next Tuesday which will be day 8 of my cycle. I'm having reflexology twice this week and once next week to try and make sure everything is working how it should be (doing natural fet so I need to ovulate)

Ah so did AF turn up waiting? I have everything crossable crossed for you xxx

Report
waitingimpatient · 11/02/2016 13:56

Yes it did ! I had counselling on Monday and felt better then reflexology and said to dh "well, it's obviously not happening I'm going to start spring cleaning the house" I wrote a list of jobs to do and felt quite happy that I'd get everything done and then the house would be tidy ! An hour later AF arrived it was like my mind was stopping it (I have been very stressed)

That's brilliant waiting woop! I love a good list Grin There's no question that stress can delay ovulation so sounds like you are absolutely on the right track - and great to know that your TSH is also on track. Xx

waitingimpatient · 12/02/2016 22:46

Yes I definitely think stress was playing a huge part, that and PCOS, but it really felt like the second I accepted it may not arrive and stopped obsessing lo and behold af turns up!

I had reflexology again today, went for a walk and spent the afternoon baking. Had a lot of ripe bananas so there was a theme-banana and chocolate muffins with chocolate frosting, banana blueberry and oat muffins and a banana loaf (half went in the freezer I didn't actually eat that many cakes!), it also helps with keeping my weight up as that seems to impact my health hugely but I struggle keeping the weight on.
I keep telling myself to take it one day at a time. I'm not getting too ahead like I did last FET as I'd planned all sorts in my head then it didn't work and that seemed to make it worse.
Hope everyone else is doing ok

Had an endometrial scratch on Friday. Found it quite painful. All ready to start the down reg on Thursday next week. Hopefully a positive result this time round.

waitingimpatient · 14/02/2016 14:34

Hi patch what does an endometrial scratch actually involve ? Is that the procedure for repeated implantation failure?
Fingers crossed it helps you

Hi waiting
The clinic offered it as an optional extra. It was £250. The procedure was quite quick. The first part was a bit like a smear. When they put the catheter in it got a bit painful. Then they use what looks like a big cotton bud to rough the inside. It's quite difficult to describe the feeling but the pain went away as soon as it was done. Will see whether it makes any difference soon.

waitingimpatient · 14/02/2016 19:14

I had a read about it this afternoon, it sounds promising and could help implantation
If my next cycle fails I may ask about it. I'm meant to have clexane and prednisolone this cycle as last time had failed implantation and they think these will help as well as progesterone and my thyroid med

I'd probably do it again (hopefully won't have to) I'd just take more painkillers before hand

Hi everyone Smile

I'm on second week of spray, my moods are horrendous Sad

This is going to sound awfully negative but is anyone else just finding the whole process really depressing? I'm afraid to get excited or even be positive about the whole thing as I don't want to build my hopes up. DH is trying to be encouraging but all I can think about is preparing myself for the bad outcome.

Everhopeful76 · 15/02/2016 16:11

Hi everyone
I started the down regging last Thursday and am surprised I ve had such few side effects given what ppl are posting on here. Did you get the horrendous moods from the off, or has it built up TapDancingPimp? I ve had a few mood disturbances but really short lived and to be honest I ve waited a good few months to get cracking so was emotional anyway. Also had a bit of flushing but I think the main symptom I ve had is feeling foggy and forgetful, doesn't seem very textbook. Maybe its early days, although to think I could be this symptom free makes me feel its doable
I ve just finished a week of taking norethisterone, a progesterone only pill. The only thing am wondering is perhaps the pill is counteracting the spray in some weird way.
Take one day at a time, is my motto. I hope it gets easier for you on the spray x

Yes I get quite down about it all, I now have weekly counselling and reflexology to relax me as well as hopefully help with IVF

Before counselling I was getting in a right muddle upset all the time and now I see my counselling sessions as the time I can have an outlet, get upset then calm down on journey home. Same with reflexology I walk the 15/20 mins home and use it as my thinking time

Obviously I do still get times where I get upset outside of these sessions but it's been less and I feel better able to cope with it. I've also learnt not to get too far ahead of myself as previously I would think oh I'll be pregnant at this time due at this time etc etc. now I try not to think any further than the next appt as I was getting so disappointed
