endometrial scratch timing

Hi, my wife is currently about to undergo a cycle of IVF at Hammersmith and 2 days ago she had an endometrial scratch. We are getting some conflicting information about the timing of the scratch and when she should start the IVF. Could anybody give an insight into this and when she should now start the IVF? Information online indicates that she would now start her treatment in around 1 week after her period starts but we have also been lead to believe that it should start after her period after this one (in around 1 month).

Any information would be gratefully appreciated :)

Thanks

Elliot

AFAIK the normal timing for a scratch is around day 21 of the cycle before you start IVF - that was my experience previously (I was on long protocol so started downregging about a month later). However, I had one (though I believe it was deeper than the usual scratch, I was sedated though) before my last cycle and it was the day I started stims (on follicular protocol which is sort of half way between short and long protocols) so much, much later. No idea whether it was that that made the difference (gut feeling is not) but I am currently 18+2 weeks pregnant, if that helps at all. Wish you and your wife all the best.

I had mine just as my period was due so after ovulation and enough time to make sure I wasn't naturally pregnant
